Dave1222
Hey guys, Just wondering if you have any recommendations on a good place in Northern VA to have tires mounted and balanced. If all else fails, I'll go to a local NTB or the like but would rather ask here first. For what it's worth, I'm torn between the Conti DWS or the bridgestone RE960's in the 225/45/17 variety. HarryN
See if you can find a Mr. Tire in your area. They have some great prices and even do price matching with internet sites if you find prices cheaper than their stock.
Dave1222
Thanks Harry - I gave them a call and unfortunately they werent willing to price match with tirerack. Ended up getting the Conti DWS in 225/45/17 from discount tire and will have them mounted at AK Auto in Fairfax for $115.
HarryN
WoW, which Mr. Tire did you go to? Because the one in Gaithersburg, MD does price matching with any internet site, as long as the tires being sold are not used or even slightly used. Abandonhope16
Doesnt Wal-mart auto centers mount and balance for something like $10/tire. I thought I saw that somewhere. Granted, it is Wal-mart; but how bad could the F up a mount and balance?

Dave1222
I called the Mr. Tire in Vienna. Spoke to a nice guy there but he said there was no way he could match the price I was getting from discount tire. And I have heard the same about Walmart...I guess it's a you get what you pay for type of thing.
HarryN
Sears Auto Center does good work. I had them replace a tire on my WRX before. They did great work and cheap!! Tires were balanced, got a free alignment too.
