Version 4.0 - Legacy_Otaku's 2005 Legacy GT (Endless, ARC, Defi, K2, etc.)

It's been a while since I posted, but as a favor to one of my best friends (Legacy_Otaku), I took some pics of his car over the weekend, since he was finally ready to show the Subaru community what he's been up to lately.

Some of you might remember the last thread I posted of his car. It was very nice to begin with at that stage:

http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65701

But now, have a look at what he's done. I'm just here to post the pictures, and he'll be by shortly to post up the nuts and bolts of what he's accomplished... this is perhaps the sweetest Legacy I've ever seen (and a joy to drive). He built it with lots of blood, sweat, and tears (literally), and everything was carefully researched before making his parts selections.

I think you'll agree that he's done a great job so far. He says he's done, but I don't believe it (nor will I let him stop here ).

Thanks for looking, and despite being really rushed to get these out (work has consumed my life as of late), I do hope that you like the pics.

-Mike

1st off, all I gotta say is that is one sweet ride. Congrats Ken, you have done a helluva job with your car.

Now track it!!!!!!!!!! :)

Mike, why are you working your current job when you clearly have the skillz to be a pro car photog? Seriously, there is big $$$$ in comercial car photography. If I had the shots that you have I would put together a killer portfolio and shop it around. I am truly envious of your shots. I would be your lighting designer any day of the week.

evak 10-23-2007 11:29 PM

Wow...love the graffiti shots

kensukikatayo 10-23-2007 11:36 PM

That's a dream come true. Like hutru01 said, tasteful modding at its best!

CobaltForge 10-23-2007 11:48 PM

Jim_KT 10-24-2007 12:20 AM

I want to make sexy time on Ken's car.
I really do...

surfsidedetail 10-24-2007 12:21 AM

Thanks again as it is always a pleasure detailing your car and I knew you were going to get a BBK haha :p. What's next...?

Boostjunkie 10-24-2007 12:23 AM

You are a serious baller Ken, with some serious JDM bling! :) I cannot possibly hope (or afford) to go down the same route, so I'll have to content myself with working on the engine mod side of things. I do have some JDMness to be installed on the body though... ;)

fuzzydd 10-24-2007 12:23 AM

Awesome

ghibli99 10-24-2007 12:25 AM

All pics were shot w/ a Canon 400D, a mixture of lenses (17-40L, 60, 100-400L), and some massaging in CS3.

Thanks a lot for that, man... I appreciate it. I'm really happy to see that you guys like these shots, but I know that I have a long ways to go. I have been doing some paid shoots lately, so money from photography is starting to happen. Whenever I feel like I'm doing OK, I look around to see what others are doing, and it always grounds me and pushes me to learn more and evolve my style. But in the end, yes, my goal is to eventually make this a career.

Take care, man, and hope to see you again soon at a future SoCal meet.

Knight705 10-24-2007 12:26 AM

Infamous1 10-24-2007 01:33 AM

Damn Ken! You even got a little more power to go with the show now, easily the cleanest LGT I have ever seen, PERIOD! Truly is cover page worthy... Now all you need is, NOTHING simply perfect.

PS: I feel weird having your car as my laptop's background since I know you and all but it is damn clean!

SubLo 10-24-2007 01:35 AM

Wow. Schweeet! Creo's got another contender!

Any interior pix - especially the gauge pod?

mike your pics are always a pleasure to look at! could I get pics of the rear end? i want to see what the exhaust looks like, how does it sound by the way?

psucaptainkickass 10-24-2007 07:41 AM

Good thing I moved Ken. Now I really wish I was still in Socal to see that in person. Have you thought about tinting the windows? I think that would look freaking awesome. You need to take that up Palomar and see how it handles. Unless it is now a "show car" hahaha. :)

lookslikeanevo 10-24-2007 07:55 AM

DAAAAAAAMN

Ken...the car is insane! very well put together! now lets see you represent in a mag layout! i need a new job to dedicate that kind of time and money into something...

mike- awesome pics! i love your photography style... reminds me of Mr. cakes' style...i just cant position/compose cars that well...

good job guys...i doubt ill ever be at that level...but it gives me something to shoot for! maybe a bit of kens styling with a bit of pauls powah....and im set!

mr_luv 10-24-2007 08:41 AM

Holy Smokes that is frackin mean as hell. I only can dream and envy this monster of a LGT.

GetErDun 10-24-2007 08:43 AM

Unbelievable!!!!!! I  the car Ken!

I will have to make it unanimous and say its the cleanest GT I have ever seen too!
I cant imagine how much time it took to research and put the car together. But I can say it paid off. Congrats!

...... Great shots Mike!

IwannaSportSedan 10-24-2007 09:02 AM

Ken,

This car is fantastic.

Everything is nicely done, and fits very, very well. I am of course, jealous of your K2 front bumper.

The car is extremely clean, in terms of mods and tasteful additions, from stem to stern. Definitely a high water mark for modified Legacys.

Much admiration, and I wish I had the resources to give you some competition. :D
