iaacek
I am in the process of changing the clutch on my 2008 2.5i Legacy Wagon - the TOB started to squeak at ~200kkm. I ordered the Exedy clutch kit KSB04 and also new flywheel EXEDY FWSBL02FF and it arrived in mail today. I checked the flywheel, it's flat but the surface is not smooth: it's circle ground. Check the pictures, is it ok to put it on? It doesn't feel rough but it's not as smooth as the outside of the flywheel...

compsurge
It's not fly cut, but this was from how it was machined at the factory (either a lathe or a vertical turning center). It is not a problem.
Max Capacity
You don't want a friction surface to be smooth, the surface has to grip the clutch disc. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs.
