 so many options! Personally I like the straight across, old school brembo in the middle best, but it's all up to what you want!

Would be interested in something like this:

Too many options.

cvagnone here are the pics you wanted. I agree, it's hard to decide, especially when you're going with the permanent/painting route. Chutrain PM sent!

Everything is adhesive backed? How does the adhesive hold up to the caliper heat?

I guess I'm the guinea pig :p

DocHolladay23 12-21-2010 05:50 PM

 unfortunately you actually are, I haven't put mine on yet due mainly to weather but I know a lot of people have used eBay bought caliper decals and I'm 99% sure those don't really use a high temp vinyl, I've looked for it and as far as I can tell you can't even really get it in cuttable sheets...

BAC5.2 12-21-2010 05:54 PM

My goal was to simply have you cut stencils. Then I'd paint the base, let them dry, apply the stencil, spray my color, let it dry, pull the stencil, clear coat, let it dry, then install!

I'm having a hard time finding paint, though.

DocHolladay23 12-21-2010 05:57 PM

yeah, that is the best way to do it to be safest, but then it's harder to change it up :p

hmm...I'd be happy to try, but I don't have a 5th gen at my disposal to test fit on  If you'd be willing to make a stencil (I used a manilla folder and just traced the top and took my time tracing and cutting the bottom) and sent a scan of it to me I could make a set for you as a test fit for a very low price...

Let me make a suggestion for you on painted calipers:
First, make a very clean surface (preferrably masked off with duck tape and sandblasted)
Second, do NOT use anything listed as "Caliper paint"; I have used every brand of caliper paint and it all flakes off within a year. I highly recommend VHT 1500 degree engine enamel - this stuff has been on my dad's 1994 RX-7 brake calipers since 2003 and hasnt even chipped once.

DocHolladay23 12-22-2010 02:02 PM

^ I agree with that, my caliper paint is chipping now and I just put it on about 8 months ago, it's the autozone "kit"
