  1. Hey guys. Not sure anybody is gonna read this, since there we no posts in this subforum for months. I'm clearing out my garage and found some old Legacy parts. Had them on CL for a couple of months and only getting some weird replies where people don't know what a downpipe is. If anyone on here wants to take the whole lot, it's yours for free. https://annarbor.craigslist.org/pts/7052603969.html
  2. Meh, I'm not gonna try to convince anyone. I evaluated scientific information and my confidence in local powdercoaters to adhere to specific temps and made a call for myself. If those won't be your track wheels, it's probably okay.
  3. Those look good. I always cringe though, when I see forged wheels being powdercoated. I have a fresh professionally-painted set in gloss-black that I'm contemplating selling, because I decided to go with 16" rims for the winter. Might put'em in FS section in a few days.
  4. Works now! Anyhow, mad props to you sir for trying this. Somebody had to try it. I had a similar thought awhile back and chickened out.
  5. You might have to change privacy settings on those, Brian. I hope the number of splines on STI axles and LGT ones match... Otherwise you'll probably have to create some franken-axles from different pieces, provided STI uses the same axles design (I have no idea).
  6. Well, total track width difference between 08 sti and wrx is more than an inch per side. 06-07 WRX difference between sedan/hatch was less than an inch in total. Part of it here could be the hub, but I guess LCA contribution is more than 10mm. Also watch for tire rubbing on fenders.
  7. Suspension does not worry me, things bolt-up etc, and it you take it easy for a while - you just ruin tires if something isn't right. But what about front axles with track now being wider? Never done front axes on this car, but I don't think there's a pin that holds those in the transmission. Could the pop out? Or damage the oil seal?
  8. ^ Thanks. Looks like it is a bit longer. Any machine shop (or a respected car performance place) in the area should be able to press the bushings.
  9. ^So how's the swap doing? Middle of the job is probably the best time to do side-by-side pics of LCAs.
  10. Don't look that way to me. Spec.b ones are a lot more tapered. Pic from my past FS thread: http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=104075&d=1313550366
  11. I see no cones on that stud. And the stud itself (which looks like a stud that rear bushing goes on to) is too thick for the cones to fit on.
  12. Please take pics side-by-side with OEM and these. I was under the impression that STI arms are wider.
  13. ^ one more reason to split that bank into a thousand of tiny little pieces.
