  1. Definitely just swapping. That way everything should match right up from the cluster to the steering wheel controls to the clutch switch, ect. And I won't have any extra wiring laying around unneeded. [emoji1696] For no CELs! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  2. That sounds promising! I do also have the SpecB cluster that will be swapped. My hope is to make an official auto to manual swap "guide". As searching I could not find one, and I'm sure as we get into the later age of this gen, it'll become much harder to just "sell your Auto and buy a manual" as most people suggest. Especially if your Auto is basically fully built and rust free. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  3. Hello all, I am in the process of swapping my project wagon from an auto to a spec-B six speed. I have a donor car with all the parts I need. My current wondering is if I can keep the current ignition switch that's in the car so I don't have to use two different sets of keys for the doors and for starting the car. I know I'll have to get the keys reprogrammed to the new manual transmission immobilizer/ECU, but is there something in the ignition switch/cylinder itself that would be a problem with this plan? Alternatively would I be able to have someone rekey the tumbler in the specB cylinder to accept the current keys for the wagon? Your expert help would be greatly appreciated! 4. I've got a vf52 with only 10k miles. I'd be willing to trade it for the immobilizer set plus $, or I got a set of Cobb weathertech mats I'll trade strait up for. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  5. I've got a pretty foggy set I'd sell, how soon would you need it. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  6. **Car is now being parted out, please delete post. 2005 Subaru Legacy GT Wagon · 220k miles Built IPT transmission with blown center diff. And a whole host of other have fun mods. I am looking to trade my broken daily 05 Legacy GT wagon for a Spec-B 6-speed swap for my other show wagon. The car does have high miles, but had been very well taken care of maintenance wise. Car has about 7-9k in sellable parts including a full fuel system, VF52 turbo, Cobb AP, and brand new Continental tires, most with less than 18k miles. You could also fix the center diff on the IPT built 5EAT trans and you have a fast and fun grocery getter sleeper daily or gut it and rally it. The possibilities are limitless! It got 276whp on the Mustang Dyno at JEM-sport in Jackson, MI when tuned, will do 4.5sec 0-60. Ran great and pulled strong up until the diff let go. If no one will trade, I will part out, but some parts I will keep for my other wagon. Feel free to DM with questions or for a full build list. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  7. Yup. I'm leaning that way, (since shipping for a varis would be ludicrous) just wanted to see if someone had a used one I could save some money on. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  8. I am looking for a carbon fiber hood for my 05 LGT Wagon. Only interested in little to no defects and with CF scoop. ViS or Varis would be preferred. Willing to travel within a few hours for pick-up, but also willing to pay freight for the right hood. Thanks!
  9. Just tried to replace the O-ring before reading this post today. Used a generic a o-ring it's letting all sorts of air into the system. I think I'm going to go get the Subaru part. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  10. Thanks for this for sure! I did this with 4 quarts today, and it was super easy. I just bought my LGT with 147k and had no idea the condition of the fluid. It actually looked ok, not as clear, but not mud. However, I took 4 quarts out and only had to put 3 quarts in, even after a spirited test drive seems someone got over zealous with filling. I will allow the new stuff to work it's cleaning magic then do the rest when I do my timing belt in a couple of weeks.
