  1. Sorry for bumping an old thread, but I thought it’d be better than starting a new one. I was going to post in the “Exterior Mods”, but it’s relevant here and I wanted to ask where I knew the people discussing it would see. In regards to fitting the Outback bumpers and sides on the legacy, what do you guys think it would look like someone color match painted the black fog light trim of the 2013 Outback and kept the Legacy sides? I’m sure a black car could easily pull it off, mine is SWP like the OP’s though, I wonder how that would look? I realize there would be a seam where the two plastics meet, but it’s the same color might not look bad. I guess they could be molded in as well. Again sorry if bumping this makes people angry, other car forums seem to be that way. *edit* Cool Outback btw, OP. I stumbled across this picture, I actually really like it. http://www.zercustoms.com/news/images/Subaru/2014-Subaru-Outback-Facelift-1.jpg
  2. What part of Winston? I live around Old Town Elementary off Reynolda. Love the 2nd gen Body style, always wanted to find an affordable shell and put an EZ30/5speed in it, that or a 1st gen.
  3. I’ll post some once I get off work, I only have a couple cell pics though. *edit* Here ya go, nothing cool yet. I am really enjoying the car though, excellent cruiser driving 70 miles a day, little wander on the highway sometimes. Got it about a month ago with only 50K on the odometer, 70miles a day adds up very quickly though IMG_2446 by brandon bloxham, on Flickr IMG_2445 by brandon bloxham, on Flickr IMG_2435 by brandon bloxham, on Flickr Usually cosmetics are not the first thing I worry about, more of a function > Form guy. However, with this car the first thing I want to do is get those front plate holes filled and painted, Its driving me crazy. Not a fan of the pinstripe either. Then probably a few suspension bits, exhaust, and wheels. Nothing crazy. I'm torn between wanting 18s with some meaty tires or 19s, these fenders are so damn big.
  4. I unfortunately don’t have any pictures to contribute, however I have read so many questions in this thread asking about tire size and what it will look like on certain widths. I see people have already mentioned willtheyfit.com, which I use all the time researching. There is another great one though that I haven’t seen mentioned, tyrestretch.com. Even if you’re not looking to stretch, it’s a database of basically every wheel/tire combo imaginable. Not as much meaty tire pics, but there not all stretched either. It’s so helpful to be able to see different brands of tires and how different their sidewall profiles can be depending on wheel width and the resulting effect on fender clearance. Here is a link that should go straight to the gallery https://tyrestretch.com/list
  5. - 2012 Legacy 3.6r white pearl - 30 years old - College Athletic Turf - I’ve never personally owned a Subaru, but a lot of my friends did growing up and my brother has a bugeye WRX, So I was always around them and always wanted one. I had a turbo 240sx and and E46 coupe, bought this because it was low mileage and I needed a commuter, Legacy feels great and the 3.6 is pretty quick without having to deal with a turbo. Always loved the flat six sound. I miss driving a manual though. The paddle shifters, although helpful in telling the trans where to be when you want it, is very boring and in no way comparable lol. - no mods yet besides debadging the trunk. Might do some small thing here and there, again mostly a fun and comfy commuter, but it’s hard not to want to do a few small mods, especially an exhaust. My old cars, certainly nothing special. Won’t be lowering this one like these. I’m over that whole thing. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7218/7186120274_97f46aa112_c_d.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8156/7186133000_a8ec6e8405_c_d.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4139/4914519224_6e538fe2ea_o.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4069/4533289509_cc4c025c1f_b.jpg
  6. Hrmm, interesting... I really like the 2013 front bumper with those big round fogs. My car is white though, so I don’t know how the black plastic on the bottom of the bumper would flow with my color matched sides unless I put the outback door trim on it also, but I’m not interested enough to want to drill or mess with taping it. Interesting to think about though.
  7. Joined today after reading through this thread. Ive been researching doing this to my 2012 3.6. I even went as far to stop by the dealership to try and ask if anyone there knew about exterior parts interchangeability, but no one could give me a straight answer. They said their computers can look up any part you need, but don’t show parts interchangeability. I’d really like to do the full outback exterior as well, love those big fog lights. I’m not so keen on the vertical red reflectors in the rear bumper but otherwise sweet. Definitely going to start gathering Outback suspension parts. Car looks awesome dude!
