  1. The junk yard in my city’s area got a limited in there I could probably try to negotiate the door panel for $100 since the OEM is only $300 brand new. My issue is my confidence in putting it back together.
  2. Thanks for clearing that up. I tried using regular leather cleaners with no difference, I heard the tougher ones can wear down the leather and get rid of the color, makes me a bit nervous. It does make me wonder because I rarely use that arm rest and I never use any kind of lotion or cream. If anything my center console should be oily because I use it all the time. However, I did notice that in my parking spot when the sun is hitting my car around noon, it directly hits the door's armrest which maybe what's wearing it. I checked with Subaru OEM parts, the panel is actually surprisingly not too expensive considering it is brand new leather parts, however the installation process maybe a PITA as I tried to take apart a door in a 2015 Legacy before and broke some clips in the process. The only reason I'm interested in replacement is that I want to sell the vehicle and this may de-value the vehicle.
  3. Hey guys, unfortunately I drive my car way too much and got out of the main warranty for my vehicle due to 70,000 km (43k miles) on my odometer. The damage is to my leather armrest and it seems to be shedding the protective layer as it is greasy and it appears to have white-ish spots as per the photo. My question is that is the armrest on the door replaceable by itself or would I have to replace the entire door panel? I checked the OEM parts catalogue and it seems that they count the entire door panel as one piece and that armrest does not seem to be removable.
  4. The car is a lot smoother and quieter than the 2015 model in terms of cabin noise the engine is a lot more refined but due to the flat 6 instead of 4. CVT feels nice, but I never had issues with my 2015 model. The infotainment is amazing though. Sound system is incredible and apple CarPlay plus android auto is so nice. Steering feels smiliar except a little heavier. Still has that artificial electronic steering feel. Overall, this car is a huge upgrade from 2015, I was really close to getting the 2017 model, I'm glad I waited. Steering responsive headlights and led lights are definitely a good bonus.
  5. Yes it is, it's the 2018 3.6R and I love driving it. I used to have a 2015.
  6. New car, it's dark blue pearl, but this is the closes thread I found.
