  1. Gooped a bunch of Windo-weld in the bushing, let it cure for almost 48 hours. Just took it for a ride and not a sound. Seems to work great. Took like 45 minutes to do including getting the rear tires on stacked 2x6’s so I could get under there and $30 for the tube. A lot better than dropping the rear subframe and pressing in new bushings.
  2. Found out what the clunking in my rear end is. It sounds really bad and figured it was the diff or very least an inner CV joint for the rear axles. Turns out to be a lot cheaper to fix than anticipated. Though much more of a pain in the ass to fix it. The bushings for the rear diff are completely blown out that go into the rear subframe. It moves so much I’m gonna have to replace the axles seals in the rear diff. Bought whiteline inserts last week but even though they’re supposed to fit they aren’t the same pattern as the stock rubber bushings. So that’s a no go. No way in hell am I dropping this rear subframe to have new bushings pressed in. Which leads me to using 3m Windo-weld. Let’s see how this goes.
  3. Swapped to a lower mileage motor. Done with a small bag of tools I keep in the car since I’m between permanent garages. Didn’t have my box or compressor. With a borrowed cherry picker. 10,12,14mm wrenches and 3/8” sockets, mostly deep but 14mm standard used a few times. Had to run to get 3/8 swivel joint for nuts at lowest mount to tranny. Assuming they went from bolt to stud and nut on lowest one because axles are right there. I’m into it about 6 hours with exhaust mounting and oil/coolant fill left. I’m gonna take some pics tomorrow with a diy thread.
  4. Damn it’s been awhile. Life happens quick. I find myself at a crossroads with the Legacy. He’s got 155k on it now and the head gaskets made a good run but finally having an issue. My immediate thought is throw in a low mileage used 2.5 motor. But the 3.6 is actually cheaper for the motor by a couple hundred bucks. After pricing engine wiring and ecu it’s a few hundred over. I’m not worried about the wiring at all. I personally love that shit. I’ve looked into a 6 speed tranny and the 3.6 bolting up awhile ago and I don’t remember an issue. Has anyone matched an ez36 to a 5 or 6 speed using an oem ecu that anybody knows of? That’s pretty much the tipping point of a 2.5 or 3.6. If I gotta use a stand alone ecu and **** around with emissions every two years.
  5. Wow it amazes me this thread is still getting responses. Awesome Congrats on the moderator promotion Gteaser!! I'm still driving the legacy. Still have this done btw.
  6. 2012 Cloth interior on Craigslist http://southcoast.craigslist.org/pts/5645265966.html
  7. I've been away for so long I don't even know what's going here on the site. New house, lots of new projects. So the legacy is taking a back seat right now.
  8. Tyrant looks good. Was talking about with my sister today. Not sure if the America people are read to accept how things are in other countries though. I seen the pilot and it already shows the major social differences and who are we to enforce anything over there. Not like America had a civil war and fought to gain independence from Britain before that. Who the f*ck are we to push our values on anyone when we can't feed our own children and not be corrupt and hiddenly government controlled. Land of the free. Bullshit. I can't drive without a f'in seatbelt. Just another reason to pull me over. Hahaha got the 50 beat, I'm a patient can't touch my medicine. Why don't you arrest CEOs of the company that makes coxycottin. They're to blame for the heroin addiction in America but its all good they've made billions and kick back alot to the government. Not the taxpayers. DRUG COMPANIES MAKE CUSTOMERS NOT CURES. Why do you think FDR had a patent for hash oil, Cuz it helps cure cancer. Edit: Just putting the knowledge out there the last thing doctors cured was Polio. Reason. More money is made by treatment not one time cures. Its horrible. Don't get me wrong I love the idea of America. But this isn't what our fore fathers and alot of people died for. It makes me mad. Land of the free. Really??? More things I can't do, than I can.
  9. I searched all over the place for pics before I crashed it. Wasn't bad but took out my black housing headlights, bug guard, and the grill I had painted satin black in the background. Still haven't gotten around to replacing those so I just have my clear corners to at least get rid of the amber. Ive owned it for the past 10 years, used to be my daily back when I had my 97 impreza 2.2 5 speed I used to tool around in. I originally had the rear carpet in but I had never put it back when I redid all the lines. All up valves are in the rear hatch area. All the dumps are at each wheel and straight out no mufflers at all. Its kinda loud when I dump it, just the way I wanted it. Everybody looks, hahaha. 10 switch on ps1 clone remote, digital 5 point pressure monitor. Compressor is mounted under driver side headlight. 1/2" lines and valves. I had all the front painted black again just have to put it back together. Its an older kit from like 8 years ago when I first did it and still works great.
  10. This is the very reason I don't ride bikes anymore. Almost ran off the road multiple times combined with my childish need to pull the throttle almost everywhere I went. Sold my CBR about 8 years ago and have since always had a second vehicle as a toy. As of now that's my bagged 01 Pathfinder LE 2WD.
  11. I'm the same way s2baru. Born and bred Boston Teams. It just so happens the past decade was epic for us. Too bad my dad who was the start of it didn't get to see any of it. I'm looking for Brady to get one more before he's done. I'm sure Ellesedil can back me up on that. Lol
  12. ^^ I purposely flick them down so they don't go in somebody's window, same idea. Just letting you know I at least care. I'd be pissed too if one came in my car.
  13. What an awesome day this is already. Its Friday Rode with a 5th Gen LGT this morning for about 15 minutes on the highway on the way to work. Last 3 of the plate was RZA, show yourself. Lol My offer was accepted on my new house. Ironically two houses up from the one my sister and I just sold. Shit what else, maybe I should ask for a raise at work too. Lol
  14. No issues over here either. What gteaser said. Try bleeding again. How you explained it, the clutch trying to catch up to the pedal is what the damper does by default if you do an aggressive shift. Removing it would in fact make the clutch work at the same pace as the pedal. Unless there is another issue like with the fingers on the pressure plate or something.
  15. And there it is.. Lol I guess they already announced it. I've thought that since the first time I seen pics of the new wrx months ago.
