  1. … and which Legacy do you have, Norskie? I will say that my 2015 3.6R is wayyyyy better in the snow than my 2005 LGT ever was. While the OEM LS2 tires were not the greatest, it was more predictable than the rear-wheel bias of the LGT with the fatter low-profile Conti's in the snow. Just replaced the tires with Yoko's this winter and it is already better.
  2. Heh … I have had issues with the HU recognizing the USB directory since I got the car in August 2014. Sometimes it's there … sometimes it's gone. Shuffle sort of sucks too.
  3. Because my driveway is a PITA to back in to and out of habit, I still turn and look as with the last 3 Outbacks even though the 8 inch Multimedia screen puts the 7 inch screen in my 3.6R and the teeny-tiny backup screen in the boy's Foz to shame. hehe
  4. You would be surprised how many other cars do it this way. Trust me, the other light and 3rd brake light and flashing light SHOULD be enough to get some attention from the person behind. Honestly, I always thought the amber blinkers were 'lost' with the brightness of the LED brake lights.
  5. Actually went with Osram Zevo's from Advance Auto. Way cheaper than DD, and definitely an increase in brightness. Can see it in the backup camera and against the house when backing into the driveway. Had to do it right away to the new OB because the windows are so tinted.
  6. Installed Diode Dynamics Tail as Turn with backup modules. Sweet little upgrade! Glad to get rid of those lame amber turn signals and the LED's really pop. Did LED's for turn as backup and backup lights while I was back there. Bright as all hell. Like it so much I might do the wife's 2018 Outback Premium. Just replaced the license plate lights with LED's and backup lights on hers. Headlights and fogs next ...
  7. I only got Mirrorlink to work in 2014 with my old S5 with Android KitKat. Once it went to Lollipop, it never worked again.
  8. Finally got around to upgrading my HID bulbs from the lame factory Philips to Osram 6000k to match the color of the 55 watt LED H16 Driving lights. Looks awesome!
  9. Finally! Got my SMS messages to work again. After spending weeks of having my phone ping and seeing the blinking green message light and nothing showing up on the HU, I removed the phone, then re-paired it. Although I originally had to do this after the first and second time they did update, and BT and the phone worked fine and my contacts transferred every time I started the car, I wasn't seeing the messages. Who knew?
  10. That's the thing with software updates ... fix a couple things ... break some different ones!
  11. Now that I have it, the screen is a little laggy in response, the backup camera is back to taking a while to engage/disengage, and I'm no longer getting text and calls showing up on the HU even though the BT was re-paired and everything is set up correctly. Nice update!
  12. Sadly ... there is. Just check the versions on the unit after the update. Probably not in the instructions, though. (This is probably difficult for me to understand because I am not a qualified, certified Subaru service technician, but do write/code/configure systems and software for a Healthcare System and a Hospital and not updating a car )
  13. Went back to the dealer today. They re-installed the software after I explained why I didn't think it was installed correctly. Dash Compass is now operational as are Turn-by-turn instructions. Had to reset all my station settings and re-pair my Bluetooth phone settings. Mirrorlink still doesn't work with my Galaxy S7.
