  1. I got my LexisNexis report today and no driving data was in it, so Subaru has not sold my data, at least to this point.
  2. Subaru is not one of the automakers named so far, but their privacy policy totally allows them to sell your data to data brokers, who can sell it to insurance companies or whoever.
  3. So, I can just pull that fuse and avoid this problem? I never signed up for Starlink. I don't want them gathering any data about my driving/location anyway.
  4. Somewhat on-topic: https://tech.slashdot.org/story/24/03/11/2342228/automakers-are-sharing-consumers-driving-behavior-with-insurance-companies No idea what privacy policy I agreed to when I bought my 2018 Legacy, but it has the Starlink assist system which I never activated (to my knowledge). Either way, I will not be buying any new cars from a company that shares my information in this way. That may mean I never buy another car again, or at least a new one.
  5. Neither my 2018 2.5i nor my wife's 2011 Forester XT have this light. Does her Forester have a temp gauge?
  6. That is where I stick my bottle cap from my reusable water bottle.
  7. https://www.subarubatterysettlement.com/ I don't think it is that big an issue for most people, but there is an extended warranty due to this.
  8. I just got a free battery under this settlement program: https://www.subarubatterysettlement.com/ I don't think we got good or good enough batteries in our Legacies.
  9. Had my battery replaced last week in my 2018 2.5i under the Subaru Battery replacement settlement program. It covered the battery but not the replacement battery terminal that was damaged severely by corrosion. Still, only cost $40, so better than having to buy a new battery.
  10. Has anyone done a Blackstone analysis on CVT fluid from the CVT in the 2.5i? Mine is at 52k. I tried to talk to my service advisor about is yesterday when I had the car in for an oil change, but they didn't seem to understand what I was asking.
  11. It looks like the 2015 3.6R Limited came with HID low beams in any case. I don't know that you have any options other than putting new HID bulbs in.
  12. Well, I was going to recommend these if you are replacing halogen bulbs: https://www.diodedynamics.com/low-beam-led-headlight-for-2015-2019-subaru-legacy-pair.html But then, I noticed they have added a disclaimer about not being DOT compliant. These are what I have on my 2018 Legacy, and they claimed they were DOT complaint at the time. Not sure what changed. I guess I am running illegal headlights now. Edit: I noticed they claim to still be street legal in the long description, so I guess they are legal but not compliant -- whatever that means.
  13. I've noticed my 2018 2.5i seems to continue to put out a significant amount of water vapor, even after warming up.
