  6. SOLD!! Year, Make and Model: 2006 Legacy GT Wagon Color: Red Miles: 230k Transmission: 5EAT Title: Clear CA title in hand Lien:none Location: Fresno CA VIN: 4S3BP676764306874 Seller's email address: Brandon.lowry@att.net Asking Price: 7000 2nd owner, I bought the car with about 180k on it planning on a decent stage 2 build and then driving it to 300k. As always happens plans/needs changed and I bought a larger SUV to make it easier to tote the family around. I’m pretty partial to the Legacy but I cant keep it around for a spare spare vehicle. The car is super solid mechanically and I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it anywhere. The body and interior are in good condition considering the age and mileage. Everything works except for the sunroof, I believe the resin rods as they call them are broken and I’m not a big fan of sunroofs so I never looked into fixing it. Vehicle has been well maintained and has gotten Motul 5w40 every 4-5k. It burns no oil between changes. I’m sure I’m forgetting some details but this is the mod list below. The short block was replaced around 195k miles as well as the turbo and exhaust parts. IAG stage 2 Tuff short block Rebuilt heads with new exhaust valves and guides OE Subaru gaskets ARP head studs IAG windage tray Moroso oil pickup OEM 11mm oil pump Blouch 380xt Grimmspeed EBCS Invidia catless uppipe Invidia catted downpipe All hoses replaced with engine build Koyo all aluminum radiator Borla ProXS mufflers-sounds good with no drone Cryo tuned AP-V2 Transgo shift kit installed @~185k External trans cooler White line rear sway bar Front suspension bushings, ball joints and tie rod ends all replaced around 200k Brakes replaced around 205k Michelin Pilot sport AS3+ in decent condition JDM double din kit with Kenwood touchscreen and backup camera Headlights have been converted to HID with the correct BiXenon projectors from The Retrofit Source. Car has a fresh smog certificate and I have all original exhaust and low mile stock replacement turbo for smog purposes
  7. Are you looking for a stocker or something modified? I’m considering selling my 2006 5EAT garnet red wagon. 230 on the car, 40k on IAG stg 2 Tuff, 380xt etc. Let me know if interested.
  8. Has anyone noticed handling gets sloppy when they have some weight in the back? Around 100-150 lbs the rear starts to sag and handling feels off. Camber increases and toe starts going positive pretty significantly(about .3° with 200lbs loaded). I know saggy butt spacers will help the appearance, but they won’t help the toe change. Are slightly stiffer springs available that won’t lower the car? Or should I try a new pair of Moog springs to replace my 200k mile originals?
  9. What happens if you drive it in sport mode? Does it do it in every gear? Not that I expect you to flat foot shift 4-5 When I hit the button my car shifts hard and fast, but I have the transgo shift kit installed.
  10. I’m glad you are happy with his work thus far. Did he have a valve job and adjustment done?
  11. Of course I would. I am held responsible for everything that I do, and every part that I install on your engine. If I reused your timing belt whether it had 2 miles on it or 200k miles on it and it failed for some reason later I would be held responsible. I guarantee my work for 3 years and 36k miles, I can’t guarantee a belt that I can’t guarantee the history and origin of. I don’t install customer supplied parts for the same reason.
  12. If an engine fails it stops running and loses power steering anyways. Your argument is invalid.
  13. Ask for synthetic oil at 2.25/qt? They are giving away blend cheaper than I can buy a quality conventional oil!!
  14. A serpentine belt takes 5 minutes to replace and may cost a tow and some inconvenience if it fails. A timing belt takes hours to replace and can cost an engine if it fails. You’re comparing mandarins to grapefruit here. $2100 is too cheap, proceed with caution and plan on the bill rising.
  15. The shop has to mark up the parts if they want to stay in business, especially with that stupid low labor rate.
