  1. I'm in the same situation as you. I'm retired, the pandemic, etc and very little km on my garaged Legacy. I change the oil/filter once a year and look over the engine/cabin filters and other visual maintenance items. I check/lubricate the brakes when I do the seasonal tire changeover. I don't care much for the mileage nor for Subaru calls that I go visit them twice a year or whatever.
  2. I'm in Quebec and no news from Subaru regarding this TSB.
  3. I use a floor jack with hockey pucks when I do the winter wheels change. As for mileage, I'm in the same position as you and drive little so it's once per year no matter the mileage. By definition, 0W-20 is synthetic so I don't see the need to do it twice per year. Just make sure you take a good drive on the highway once in a while to burn off excess gas and condensation in the oil.
  4. I did my first oil change this spring which wasn't a big issue. No shielding underneath needs removing and the filter in the engine bay is the easiest possible setup. In Canada, the manual says 4.2 liters which is about what I put in to bring it to the full mark. And yes, my car was a good 1/2 inch above the full level from the factory. Subaru is taking no chances here... LOL As for jacking the front end, you'd be much better off with a set of ramps.
  5. You might be fooled by the rear track being 1.2'' wider than the front, 63.4'' vs 62.2''.
  6. I drove quite a bit since then and it is now back in the 95-100C range (203-212F) which is typical in summer driving with the AC going. My oil level is slightly above full. I did the first oil change myself 3000 km ago. I suspect the tailwind for my higher oil temp the other day.
  7. 104C (219F). First time I see it above 100C. 33C outside on cruise at 112 clics (70 MPH) sunny with a tail wind. I somehow can't upload the picture, sorry.
  8. Did you check if your spare tire and jack are screwed on tight?
  9. That's the kind of answer I would have liked from a SOC insider regarding the lack of Speed Volume Control and other sound adjustments on my Harman Kardon stereo. Maybe I should reach out to SOA... BTW, could you post the exact address at SOA?
  10. I might if it does it again. But for other issues, I've not been impressed by my dealer and SOC. So the less I do business with them, the better.
  11. It just starts humming non stop and I have no check light upon startup.
  12. Anybody noticed the fuel pump or something from the back undercarriage going On if you leave a door open more than 5 or 10 minutes? It happened to me a couple times now and I have to recycle the ignition (without starting the engine) to get the noise to stop. Strange as it could drain the battery or toast the pump. BTW, both my GF and I have the exact same car, even to the color and I couldn't get hers to display the behavior mine does.
  13. Not sure I would attempt this but does your radio has Speed Volume Control that is absent from my Harman Kardon stereo?
  14. Still, a useless "feature" for most Canadians that I wish I could defeat.
