  1. Lighter wheels and better tires might be the best way to help make it feel faster.
  2. After 3 years and 69k miles on my OEM brake pads, I decided to replace them. Took the front pads out and realized that there is still plenty of pad left. I was very surprised... cleaned, and put the OEM pads back in. Going to keep the purchased pads for another few months. At this rate, I may be able to get another year out of the OEM pads.
  3. Washed both of the cars last weekend. Realized that its been about 4 months since I last washed the legacy. Spent most of the time on the outside of the car and ended up clay barring the whole car. Wanted to get some wax on it before the weather gets bad. Hoping to get the interior done in the next few days.
  4. Yes this seems to be normal. My first year with this legacy I used to park in a heated garage. But once i started parking outside, especially in the colder months, the engine was noisier when it was warming up.
  5. Congrats! I would hold off on any upgrades till you drive the car for a bit. Get used to it the way it is, then "upgrade" some things. I would also go with the Rear Sway Bar first, I changed mine and its been great since.
  6. I waxed mine last summer and was pretty depressed looking at all the small damage I found
  7. Changed my oil, added some more coolant, and just got some fuel injector cleaner. My car is in real need of a wash... maybe I'll take care of that this weekend.
  8. I forget about it all the time, and then get pleasantly surprised when I pop the hood.
  9. Did an oil change with Mobil1 - Extended Performance and immediately noticed the engine is a bit quieter. Really like it so far, but we'll see how it is over time.
  10. Definitely. People forget how AWD doesn't help you stop. Sometimes AWD becomes an issue when drivers don't actually feel how icy and slippery the road is, and fail to adjust their driving. I placed the lumbar support piece back into my car a few weeks ago. Removed it again yesterday.... its just too uncomfortable. I tried making it flatter, but that didn't seem to make much of a difference.
  11. Bridgestone Blizzak WS80. Its going to be my third winter with this set, but I've had WS60s and WS70s on my older cars and they were great.
  12. I'm in Toronto. We had a couple of colder days which triggered me to change the tires a week earlier than usual. Plus my insurance company sets Nov 1st as the day that winter tires must be on the car in order to get the winter tire discount.
