  1. Seems like it's just a enclosed 6in component.
  2. http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o60/165ej1/6947218223_a2a48904dd_b.jpg I've sine paint outer trim and shifter bezel satin black
  3. not huge difference in size of factory tweeters and aftermarket. you'll have plenty of room to install aftermarket tweeters. Just mounting them can be a PITA.
  4. Is a LOC required for a stock 05 LGT head-unit?
  5. what is a good replacement for the stocker if you plan on staying stage 1 or stage 2?
  6. Yes It is. Only issue was the BPV return hose. If you look at this thread below you'll see the difference with the 05-06 and the 07-09 BPV inlets and return hose spigots. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/turbo-inlet-problem-171058.html?t=171058&highlight=inlet+turbo
  7. It fits like a glove. Ended up being able to move some wiring and bracket and squeeze it in. Just need to clamp it and its good to go.
  8. The issue is my factory was rotted away, this was an easy replacement. I'm so pissed that it's listed for all models and its not designed to early ones clearly. For the life of me I can not find the factory for my car and the dealership tells me all they have that works is for the 07+. Which does not work. So I am kind of at a loss.
  9. We just can't get the BPV to line up. Its too short and sensor bracket and wire harness are preventing even forcing the hose on.
  10. I contacted Perrin stated the inlet for the 08+ WRX is the same for 2005-2009 Legacy GT. Perrin redesigned the inlet for the Legacy which is now the same one for the 08+ WRX. However from what I've researched (and what you mentioned) later model Legacys (07-09) have different BPV hose locations due to an air compressor IIRC. Because the factroy BPV hose on my 05 won't reach the BPV spigot on the Perrin inlet and there is some other hoses, wires, bracket in the way. It's been a nightmare and I don't have a car until I figure how to make it work or find a suitable replacemnt. The factroy inlet was garbage and really not keen on using something that falls about at the turbo. I may take photos and do thorough walk-through if I get this too work. Because Perrin does not provide instructions for the Legacy. My hands hurt.
  11. During installation of the Perrin inlet we noticed that the hose from the BOV to the inlet is about 1.5 inches off. How the hell do you attach that thing? Because there is a wire grouping and vacuum hose in the way. I really need to know what to do because as of right not I have no car. Fredbeanparts states on there site its for 2005-2009. I don't think that's entirely true after attempted install.
  12. 1. How can you tell if the O2 sensor is bad? 2. Intercooler tabs? are you referring to the end tanks? 3. When you say put a pipe in the inlet, do you mean something capped (like PVC) to make a seal?
  13. I've been having similar issues. Orignally started last summer assumed it was MAF when the CEL came up. So I unplugged the MAF and the idle smoothed out. After I plugged the MAF back in the CEL cleared itself and car ran smooth for over 5 months. Now CEL is back with same code. Am I still to assume it's the MAF or possible vacuum leak? The idle isn't too rough, but almost stalls on cold starts when turning at low speeds. I checked the T-valve and all lines were good and connected. Reading all these previous has now made me paranoid and I'm about to go to my buddy's shot and have a compression test and leak down test done. My car has slighty over 80k. But this only happens during the summer when its 90+ degrees and/or I'm using the A/C.
