  1. Quick photo after the ride Sent from my VS996 using Tapatalk
  2. Going a little off topic now... Got new wheels on the outback because the stock wheels look just horrible. Sent from my VS996 using Tapatalk
  3. Just picked up my next project 2020 outback touring xt. The 2.4 turbo is pretty smooth. I'll have to accept the CVT. Sent from my VS996 using Tapatalk
  4. Some additional updates, install the rest of the cusco bits (LCA, LCA brace) I think this is as far as I will take the build. Sent from my VS996 using Tapatalk
  5. Hi, the cusco struts are much stiffer than stock (and kyb GR2). They are 40 way adjustable and setting them all the way stiff is just back breaking stiff (handles amazing). I usually run them between 5-10 clicks from full soft. The rallitek overload springs and the cusco struts are a good match and gives a sporty ride (handles way better than stock even with the lift). There is good suspension travel without any unwanted bounce or sway. I pretty much just plow through anything.
  6. Don't forget to checkout rallitek. They offer lift springs and other bolt on lift options for the outback which are a direct fit for our legacy. I installed a set of their uprated outback springs with cusco struts and the ride is very good. https://www.rallitek.com/750-assembled-strut-kits Below are some updated pics of how my car sits now. Also added a bunch of cusco bits... Sent from my VS996 using Tapatalk

  8. No problems with the pinch bolt. The ball joint came came with a new pinch bolt. I reused the original bolt. Sent from my VS996 using Tapatalk
  9. I finished the job. Didn't need the subaru ball joint puller after all, the ball joint came off from the spindle pretty easily. Definitely needed the ball joint separate tool. Took around an hour to do. Ball joint was totally shot. Also took advantage of the time to install all my cusco bits. Sent from my VS996 using Tapatalk
  10. I am going to tackle this on Saturday. Good news is that my knuckle doesn't look anywhere as rusty as the one on the videos. Hopefully it would pop right out! Sent from my VS996 using Tapatalk
  11. is it hard to separate the upper balljoint from the spindle? I know removing the pinch bolt from the spindle will be a pain. Once I remove the pinch bolt, does the upper ball joint just fall out? or will I need a pry-bar to get it loose?
  12. So the front ball joint boot on my 2012 legacy gt has a huge rip on it. How hard is it to replace the ball joint? Any pointers? How hard is it to remove the ball joint from the steering knuckle? Looks pretty rusty down there.... Sent from my VS996 using Tapatalk
  13. Rallitek overrated oe height springs Sent from my VS996 using Tapatalk
  14. Just a quick comparison of the outback kyb gr2 strut vs the cusco touring a struts. Spring perch height is identical. The physical shock body of the cusco strut is shorter than the gr2 strut Interestingly, the cusco strut seems to have a half inch more stroke. Cusco struts are made by kyb in Japan.
