  1. ^^^^ thanks for the info man! also, what are the stiffest springs out there for 5th gen legacy (or 4th gen as well, id they can work)?? other then ones listed in OP. anything up close to 300#?
  2. has anyone put any 08-14 sti (preferably 2011+) oem springs directly onto their oem struts? or oem equivalent strut?
  3. sorry, forgot to respond to that one...but did see it man. my handy 'soup to go' container of misc subaru nuts and bolt has got to have something for the speed sensor. thanks
  4. i know. without a picture, or something in my hand...i tend to make things "difficult". as much as it prevents later headaches...it sure promotes current ones. waiting on the arrival of the bils/blacks combo...time wasted mulling over smaller details. lol.
  5. thye look the same, and different then 09-13 fxt units...just from glancing at pics on here of people showing their oem struts with swifts and such. as in like a flat bottom, rather then a recessed area like the fxt ones.
  6. im back again, to bother, again...sorry haha. anyone have any actual pics of part#20323AGooB (lgt upper spring seat)? im wondering if its the same as part#20323AG000 (similar era wrx version). i cant find any pics of the lgt one...even for a visual comparison.
  7. roughly, where to folks end up on the lgt blacks. looks like proposed drop is listed at 0.8". end up about there? more/less?
  8. Got ya. i was hoping the adjustment ability would help against the saggy butt. but the overall shorter length is something ill have to tackle...once i get stuff in hand like you mentioned. thanks again man.
  9. do the lgt rear struts not have that same (roughly) 1/2" longer design that the fronts were mentioned to have (like vs WRX units)? or do you mean more in regards to heavy butted fozzies? haha. im hoping the "lift" i get due to different strut lengths will be same in front and rear.
  10. i noticed that when looking at websites selling coilovers for each model. assumed it was just a random pic, for a different fitment. but thanks. luckily i dont think ill have that issue, since i dont plan to use 4th gen stuff. and on the other bit...thanks. and thanks everyone. very nice to see so much help (and so quickly). where does one go when they need oem LGT tophats and spring seats??
  11. thanks dgoodhue , thats kinda the mental # i had saved...as it seemed to pop up from time to time. thanks GTEASER. rear hats are the same? seems like the combo is (since id imagine what'll be arriving at my door is just struts and springs): the bilsteins the black springs then i need in addition: oem upper LGT spring seats for all four corners oem fxt, wrx, sti tophats those spacers/washers for fronts between seat and hat am i overlooking something??
  12. i do "know" this also, from someone with an 09-13 fozzie. "Front Suspension: Legacy (Liberty in Aus) Spec B Bilsteins take offs from 2005-2009 4th Gen model. I used the complete unit with the springs, top hats etc. Bolt straight on like it was made for it." are the 4th gen and 5th gen front bilsteins interchangeable? do you need different top hats in 4th gen vs 5th gen? i understand there could be differences in strut body length, etc...but im only referring to physically bolting in....and
  13. thanks for the link! this bit seems as if its a good sign: "7) front struts are direct drop ins. No problems at all. Just had to push down the hub to fit the longer struts into the steering knuckle." ... if i know wrx stuff goes into outback (not sure of any changed parts, like top hats or anything...waiting to hear back from the fella) ...and outback stuff goes into LGT, then its safe to guess LGT stuff could do into wrx. I have a 2011 XT touring. current setup is 2014 sti oem struts and sti spec RCE yellows.
