  1. Nice sunrise this morning, good excuse to take a pic of the old hot rod.
  2. Throwing in $.02, Conti DWS06 Plus, has been great for me. I put these on about 1 year and 10k miles ago. Coming from the Firestone Indy 500 AS, did not care for that tire. Road noise became quite bad with a little less than 50% Tread remaining. DWS is a great value, a little cheaper than a max performance summer tire and better treadlife warranty. It sticks harder than I would be willing to push the car on the street. That being said, someday I will have a dedicated summer and winter tire. Oh yeah, these worked great in the snow last winter. We will see once the "s" wears off. For those that don't know the letters, DWS (dry, wet, snow) are molded into the tread blocks. As the tire wears down, the S will disappear first, then the W, and finally the D, then it's time to look at replacing the tires.
  3. I got the Quad tip version. This one appears to be in stock? https://prestigeautolab.com/products/megan-racing-stainless-quad-tips-oe-rs-exhaust-kit-for-subaru-legacy-gt-2005-2009?pr_prod_strat=use_description&pr_rec_id=8d7ae8462&pr_rec_pid=8333502546199&pr_ref_pid=8333502611735&pr_seq=uniform Looks like there are two versions. The link you posted is single tip per side and seems to be a little closer to end of the bumper which I would prefer. Mine are recessed a couple inches. Not the end of the world. A JDM bumper would remedy that problem
  4. I've been happy with Megan OE-RS. From my searching of the net it is the quietest aftermarket exhaust for these cars. It's full 3" stainless steel from the down pipe back. I have an invidia catted dp. I needed to replace the rubber isolators when I installed. I think the system can be had for right around $1k
  5. Your car looks great! I've been getting tired of the low life, lol, and I'm only on STI pinks. However, I have an auto trans and the auto version of the invidia downpipe is by far the lowest part on my car and scrapes occasionally. Do the adventure springs work with stock LGT suspension links? What kind of dampers are you running?
  6. Thanks, I've been enjoying the way she sits, couldn't imagine being any lower. I'm running STI wagon pink springs with Koni yellow dampers. It would've been great having another wagon out there! She definitely got a good amount of love from all the Porsche guys there!
  7. Thanks to @Febreze Mee for givong the heads up on this event! Attended a driver skills event Hosted at the Bremerton Motorsports Park. I was the only scoobie there. It was great fun. The Porsche Club Pacific Northwest Region, Audi Club Northwest, and BMW CCA Puget Sound Region Chapter have teamed up to provide instructors for this event, with one goal: to provide the best car control experience possible. The instructors were were fantastic and it was a great learning experience. The last photo is a Cayman jump starting another Cayman
  8. Finally installed the rain visors I've had laying around for far too long and Rally Armor mudflaps.
  9. I can happily report back, she handles like a dream. She did before but now just a little bit better. Very neutral and the polar moment feels just that much more crisp. The new Conti DWS 06 plus help too, sooo much better than the firestone indy500 AS that were on it. Thanks again everybody for the feedback.
  10. Has anyone tried these? Progress reinforcement bracket. Looks like it bolts to the sub frame like AVO. https://www.andysautosport.com/products/progress__65.232.html
  11. @Febreze Mee That really sucks man. I hope you get your parts soon or a refund. I ordered the sway bar reinforcement bracket https://awdadventure.com/products/2000-2008-outback-legacey-rear-sway-bar-bracket-reinforcement and it arrived within a week. I will say I was a little bummed that the bracket came bare steel. The website states all parts are powder coated except nut backing plate. Overall seems like it will do what it is designed to do.
  12. Fantastic! Thank you all so much for the replies. Looking forward to installing the bars soon. I'll try to report back how they change the feel of the car. Started with stock suspension with dampers that had 100K miles. Currently sitting on pink springs with koni yellows and replaced most of the suspension bushings. This has already dramatically changed the feel of the car. And here is a pic of my LGT looking out over Budd Inlet
  13. Is anybody familiar with these sway bars? If so, any thoughts about them, good, bad, or indifferent? I thought they were zerosport when I ordered them only because seems to be the same green paint as zerosport. I bought them on ebay last week, haven't installed them yet. Looks like they came from a dismantler in California. The pics showed an Outback XT with some front end damage. The bars measure 22mm front and 18mm rear. I cannot find any info on the web for them. ebay listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/134585947717 Included a pic from the listing. I'm guessing this is the car the bars come from. Thanks, Redbeard
