  1. Maybe call Crutchfield and see if they sell an adapter
  2. I have a 2016 Legacy, my wife has an Outback. The steering wheel controls can be used to activate Siri but not with Google Assistant. Anyone know of a way to repurpose the voice commands on the steering wheel? Thanks
  3. Is there any way of knowing if my 2016 Starlink unit needs a firmware update? I keep having Bluetooth connection problems. I know I can take it to the dealer, but I was wondering if there was a way to check myself. Thanks.
  4. Thanks. I agree about using the audio directions primarily. I'm also thinking it's basically a habit at this point. I'm just so used to the phone on the mount. I am also from Long Island so you know what it's like driving around here.
  5. Hi, I am new to these forums. I recently purchased a 2016 Legacy without navigation. People's unhappiness with the Starlink system and replacing it with an aftermarket head unit are well covered on these forums. I have read over many of them and I am definitely considering this option. Currently I am using my phone with Google maps on a dash mount cradle and this was my setup on my previous car. Many manufacturers seem to be following this design, placing the infotainment screen at the dashboard level, where it looks like a protruding tablet. This does seem to be a more logical orientation. So I am wondering for those of you who have navigation or added it aftermarket, do you find the screen to be to low? I primarily use Android Auto on my phone, so the in dash screen has pretty much become useless to me. Thanks!
