  1. Hello! I am hoping someone could have a look at my data and maybe comment on what my car is doing. I have attached a csv file with 20min of driving data. If you think I should log other data points, please let me know! Car: 2008 Legacy GT, forged pistons, stage 2, 3" downpipe and catless Problems: surging with light engine load, loss of power and backfire, 100% throttle and high rpm When surging, the AF Correction 1 values are rapidly changing from negative to positive numbers. The backfiring happened once during logging, around data point 5380. What do you think is going on with this car? Thanks for your help! datalog8.csv
  2. Ok, I thought I'd report back after I finally solved the problem. Yes it took some time. The initial diagnosis of the motor mounts was incorrect, and led to some unnecessary part changing. After replacing the driveshaft and rear axle the vibration was still there. Regardless, during vibrations the driveshaft was still bouncing around in the center bearing. I then replaced the pitch stop, as well as transmission mount and the vibration is 99% gone. I attribute that other 1% the way it just is. Hopefully this helps someone! DaveWaters, could this be the cause of your vibrations? My car shuddered when the TQ converter locked up with light load or when lugging.
  3. Hello, I am unfamiliar with turbos and I can't seem to find any info on whether a turbo could send oil into the exhaust after it has warmed up. As the title reads, my 2008 LGT wagon is using oil, but only when warm. It seems to smoke a little with light throttle applications, but I can't rev it while parked and warm to get it to burn oil. It does not burn oil on start. It do not see smoke when on the throttle hard. It has 40k with forged pistons, a new turbo, a catless dp, and is tuned. This doesn't seem like the classic rings, or valves, being warn and causing oil consumption. But I could be wrong. It uses about a half liter every 2000kms and I notice the smell of burning oil when reversing. Any ideas for trouble shooting?
  4. Hello! I have a 2008 LGT Wagon 5EAT, which has a driveline vibration. I suspected the u-joints as the issue, and before purchasing a driveshaft I took it into a shop to get their opinion. They recommended I replace the driveshaft. I replaced the driveshaft and the vibration is not as bad as it was before, but it is still there. It will only vibrate with light throttle settings and light engine load. Usually happens when in 4th or 5th going slightly up hill, or when dropping into a higher gear with light acceleration. Feels as if you are driving over a rumble strip, just not as pronounced. I called the shop that diagnosed my car and they are out of ideas. The motor mounts look to be solid and I can't think of what else it may be... and ideas??? I appreciate your help. Thank you in advance.
