  1. What's up everyone, long time no show around here. I've had an A4 for about a year after I got rid of my 98 LGTL, but looking at getting a 4th gen gt in the next year or two. Might as well get back into the forum life; I didn't see this mod anywhere on the site, but for those who have the clear corner mod and don't want to shell out for stealth bulbs or leds, this is almost too easy to do: http://www.a4mods.com/index.php?page=webcontent/pages/tails.html&category=3 Yeah it's linked to an audi site, but it's a good write up. All the corners have been cleared on my a4, and for baked headlights with the reflector removed, it looks awesome

  3. I'm gonna look into this when I get home, this would be something i'd want to experiment with.
  4. This. I had my master cylinder changed out under a recall, and everything was bled properly and new fluid put in and whatnot. Even with the same older pads on back then, I noticed better pedal feel with the new cylinder in. Now with my new gear, it feels great, but yeah I know what you mean about the softer brakes compared to other cars. My dad's audi grabs and doesn't let go; it's night and day compared to my subaru. That 7-series master cylinder swap is an interesting idea...do you think there's a larger master cylinder out there from a fozzy or something that could be swapped in to ours for some extra power to the brakes? Or is there an aftermarket upgrade that we can pick up?

  6. Great, can't wait to see a write up on this. You've done a great job documenting everything from the last thread, and I'd do this if my brother didn't go behind my back and buy new pads and rotors already keep us posted!
  7. Cool, I'll have to check out the roll center adjuster. I've noticed bump steer more and a little more roll after dropping my car on h&r springs. So the roll center adjuster includes tie rods and ball joints for both front sides? Any cheaper alternative?
  8. Defintely a good call to replace the HGs anyway. I'm putting my money on either the t-stat or a huge slug of air in the system. I never elevated the front end of mine when I replaced the coolant, I think that bleeder valve is in the best spot that I've ever seen on a car...easy to reach, high point, great stuff. Test out the t-stat you have in there now and see how it goes, but according to everything else out there, all signs point to the genuine subaru t-stat for a replacement. Hope it all goes well!
  9. Not true, the NAPA one I have hasn't given me any problems yet, but the general consensus is that OEM is the way to go. I'd definitely save yourself the trouble and just go that route, even if it is a little more pricey.
