  1. Looking for an OEM (or anything better) skid plate, my 06 OBXT didn't have one when I bought it 18months ago (90k miles in Portland) and it's been too long without. Do you have any radiator hoses in decent shape? Once the smog clears I've got to rip apart my coolant system as I had a big leak appear randomly last week. LGT brake calipers and rotors to swap out the stockers. Also any other goodies that would go on an OBXT, aftermarket downpipes for 5MT, LGT springs/struts, aftermarket sway bars, or endlinks. Any front or rear door speakers that are worth using?
  2. I guess I need to update my details! I sold my GT and moved out West, and have since wanted to find a wagon form to replace my fun but relatively useless GTI. Superior Import Repair is a Subaru only shop that seems to be popular among the WRX community here in Portland. I asked because it's closer than surgeline to my potential location of sale and has experience with the seller. I just found out today that the shop is replacing the clutch, I wish I could have taken the car for less and had it done myself. Assuming the OBXT's have the DMFW like my old leggy.
  3. Anyone have experience superior import repair?
  4. Looking for a shop in the Portland area to do a pre-purchase inspection on an 4th gen Outback XT. Found a 5mt with 88k and I'm ready to stop feeling the regret of selling my 05gt every day. It's from a used car dealer but I would like to get a leakdown/compression test, check if banjo bolts are still there and a general run through. Any opinions if it'd be worth it to get the downpipe pulled off and check the turbo for shaft play?
  5. I was able to drive through snow over my license plate on konis/epics with 17's and continental snow tires. Absolute beast mode, had to scoop the snow out from the radiator area when I in the drive way. I fear my GTI will never even come close to handling that.
  6. I knew it was going to happen, moved down to Somerville, I seem to see you guys everywhere on 93, but I then realize I'm driving a VW and I won't be noticed. It breaks my heart after driving my LGT in Maine for half a decade and rarely seeing another on the roads I can no longer get the joy of making a connection. I really thought I could hang onto a second car and afford to overhaul it when the time was right and once again get spotted. But that dream was short lived, she lives in the driveway at my parents house getting an occasional 15 minute local trip to keep things in semi working condition. But now I've realized life is expensive and I need to sell it before it's not worth a dime because I really won't be able to drive at will for a few years do to parking etc. Someone tell me it's worth it to hang onto even if it won't be parked outside my place for a few years.
  7. Ah I'm a day late, that was me! I saw you from a little ways back and made it a point to get a wave in. I just moved down to Methuen and work in Woburn so I'll be on 93 daily now.
  8. Brown 4th gen at shell gas station on rt 117 in Waterboro Maine, you followed me out and then down rt 35 for awhile. Despite my efforts you had no interest in driving evenly slightly spirited down those perfect curvy backroads...
  9. Spotted a black 4th gen on route 1 north in mass just outside of Boston on Sunday. Exhaust, rims. I gave you a wave and then followed your path through traffic! Also spotted a different obp 4th gen on 95 north between Portsmouth and Kennebunk exit. Looked like bronze tsw nurbys.
  10. Somewhere out there I remember reading that the Eibach pro kit is no longer produced for the 4th gen. Can someone confirm or deny that? Seem to be the only springs with a small drop that will work on stock struts.
  11. Saw a black 4th gen LGT on 117 in Waterboro today around 530pm, very loud exhaust. We were stuck behind that truck for a long time.
  12. Hit 143K today, need to fix that gas line that contracts in the cold, probably grease the starter shaft too. Sounds like a wheel bearing is going on the only one that was every replaced. Looking to drop in an up pipe and check the turbo for shaft play sometime next week. Still have banjo bolts and oil at 3-5K has been looking very clean.
