  1. I brought mine in for inspection too. They didnt find anything mechanically wrong with the car. However, they have 2 new ecu updates for the car (this is only covered under 80k car and not the new extended warranty). So i paid 250 for vehicle diagnostic+new ecu flash+wiper recall. Not bad. The car idle lower(~6krpm) and shifts much smoothly now even with ac on.
  2. My car has been acting similarly to yours and it gets old fast especially in slow or stop and go traffic. Mine shudders and doesnt do a smooth down or up shift. The traffic usually slowes down n picks up fast then slow down fast. It feels as if the transmission is stuck deciding which ratio to go to but not fast enough. Do you plan on taking yours in for a check up? I wont be able to have mine looked at until next week or so. Similar problem in this post: http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/f88/2-5i-prem-cvt-gentle-bucking-light-acceleration-merged-thread-212890/
  3. Hi, i have a 2.5i with cvt tranny. A few things: The engine shudders more with a/c on The transmission is more irratic at low speed (i.e stop n go traffic or rapid cycling between deceleration and acceleration at lower speed). It doesnt do a smooth transition even if i try to ease on the gas or the brake. I tried manual mode and chnaged gear ratio using a paddle shifter and the transition is smoother. Brake is less sticky with ac on. I have new belts, water pump installed at 100k. Most of the issues start with ac on but occasionally without ac. Tranny fluid changed at 90k at Subaru dealer. Engine mount, belt tightened n pump straining on the engine. I cant really think of any. Anyone with similar problem or input? Thanks
  4. Hi, I have a 5th gen legacy with halogen projector (2010). I saw your reply in another post stating that the RX330 non-AFS and RX350 non-AFS is drop-in (with dremel to fit the solenoid). I contacted TRS and they said that the non-AFS do not fit the housing. I am very confused. Would you be able to help clarify? Thanks!
  5. I'm looking at these two bars: http://subaruonlineparts.com/subaru-legacy-rear-20mm-sway-p-4226.html http://subaruonlineparts.com/subaru-legacy-rear-19mm-sway-p-3892.html I am not sure if any member has experienced with either one of them. I saw a post saying 20mm causes a 144% increase in stiffness compared to 99% in the 19mm. Any thoughts on which I should get?
