I do a lot of mileage lately, been running genera Altimax rt43 - have handles everything from hot to snow without any issues - better than the stickers ever did.
So far just stock size 18’s been looking for a “reasonable” set of 17” to get new tires as well. More curious that the larger tire size doesn’t rub at all.
Haven’t been on in a long time. I lifted my legacy over a year ago, it’s been great. Due to other issues I have been able to upgrade the wheels yet. Haven’t had any issues, fuel economy is the same - 100 mile daily round trip for work.
Joining in the bearing club, passenger rear went bad at 53,000m now at 65,000m the passenger front went bad. Dealership now said must have come from a bad batch and is “proactively” changing the other 2 bearing. [emoji6]
I have the Anderson design 2” kit installed. 2” in the front 2 1/2” in the back. I am usually hauling the family around and have a hitch mounted bike rack. The car has a slight rake that has the butt up - but the wheel wells look level (since the rear well is smaller). Next up is new wheels/tires. Unless the front struts are changed the tire diameter is pretty much locked in.
Haven’t looked to see if I can swap in the outback springs and struts without any other changes.
Question - after reviewing the entire thread - will 225/55/18 tires fire in the stock limited rim without rubbing? Wanted to add a little more sidewall but haven’t seen any responses to this size.
Thanks
