  2. Hi all, Traded in my 2005 LGT a few weeks ago and need to unload some parts that I never got around to installing. I’ll get part numbers and pics up soon of all the parts but thought I’d start gauging interest. I’ve been out of the loop for a while with a house and baby so please tell me if prices are out of line. I’ll be checking my records and updating prices if I find what I paid is less than what I am trying to sell for. 1. STI cat-less up pipe painted high temp black - $50 - sold to WanValdez 2. NIB Grimmspeed exhaust gasket kit - $100 -sold to WanValdez 3. NIB Silicone vacuum/breather hoses, blue color - $75 - sold to Zack Spec B 4. NIB Subaru intercooler with new O-ring for turbo - $200 -sold to WanValdez 5. 2x used silicone throttle body couplers Perrin and Mishimoto - $20 each - mishimoto sold to WanValdez 6. 3x quarts of Subaru ATF sealed - $5 each 7. Fumoto oil drain valve - opened but never installed, engine mounts had sagged and couldn’t get valve installed on my car - $5 - sold to noruta 8. NIB Subaru PCV assembly - $50 9. Grimmspeed TGV gaskets - $40 10. 4x NAPA Gold 7712 Oil filters - $5 each - sold to WanValdez 11. NIB Company 23 “blue T” metal replacement - $10 - Sold to Zack Spec B Prices do not include shipping. Located in New Jersey near Philadelphia and am willing to meet up for local exchange. I have PayPal for payments. Thank you, Mike
  3. Hi everyone, Under the hood over the past few months I’ve noticed grime collecting on my intercooler. Am I safe to assume that the tank is separating from the core and oil vapors are escaping collecting residue on the end tank? Pic attached for reference. I read the recent post about all metal copies of factory setup vs the grimmspeed setup. I’m not really interested in spending grimmspeed money and the factory replacement is around $400. Does anyone make a plastic/aluminum repayment? I haven’t found one. Exploring options, I might look for a good used one with the “bullet proofing” on it already or get the kit and do it myself. Car is stock with no plans of upgrading, I’m only interested in reliability at this stage of my life. https://imgur.com/a/S3yfwtt
  4. Well I guess the day is almost here now. Driving the car today and I had no AC so I thought I’d check the compressor to make sure the clutch was engaging. There I found my 4rib AC belt had been ground down to 2rib and was jammed behind the crank and compressor pullies. Damaged the compressor clutch plug and eroded a line in the middle timing belt cover. I’ve got and new cover on order off amazon and Subaru has re-ordered a crank pulley as the first one had a small chip on the face of the pulley. I am going away until next week so plenty of time for parts to come in and the pulley to not fail more. Luckily it doesn’t look like the belt digging through the cover affected the timing belt or components.
  5. Thanks again guys. I went to my local Subaru dealer yesterday on lunch and ordered a stock replacement pulley. $165 and should be in today or Friday. Hopefully the pulley comes off easily, same dealer had to take it off to do the timing belt 2 years ago, hope the tech didn't go crazy with over-torquing bolt.
  6. Thanks for the info guys. Looks like the fluidampr is the unit to get judging by info on this site and NASIOC. I think $300+ is a bit much for a pulley but I guess that's just the price of the ticket for admission to the party. Stock is still an option and I'll call my local dealer today when they open to see if they have one in stock and what it costs. Current one lasted 14 years and 110,000 miles, so another 100,000 should see it through the end of my ownership of the car. Either way I'll stay away from the solid, light weight, pullies. infosecdad: Thank you for the offer but I'd rather stick with something new. Money isn't the issue so once I call the dealer I'll know if I'm ordering stock or the fluidampr from Summit.
  7. Looks like I’ve got some wobble on my 05 GT’s crank pulley so I want to replace it. What are the options? Stock probably going to be expensive, is my best bet still a grimmspeed or Perrin solid pulley? Haven’t been researching much lately but remember mixed reviews on light weight crank pullies from months/years ago. Car is all stock just a daily driver. No need for crazy priced options. Doesn’t have to be cheapest or most expensive unit, just want a good, reliable, unit. Thank you,
  8. Sorry to jump in on this thread. I have a P0011 code currently. Haven't swapped valves yet but would like to know what brands are good/bad for replacements. Is this a "stick with OEM" type part? Don't look hard to change but I don't want to throw money away on a bad brand. Also which side it bank 1? I assume driver's side of the engine but want to be sure. Edit: Sorry I see another on this same topic. Bank 1 is passenger side.
  9. These cars shouldn't be affected by air ride like you are thinking. Having independent rear and front suspension means the driveshaft doesn't move with the suspension like it would on a live axle car. The longer run might require a larger diameter tube or thicker wall like you mentioned. Those extractors are hardened and can't be drilled out unfortunately. I've broken a couple of them too and have never actually extracted anything with them. Can you pull the interior carpet and access the bolts from that end?
  10. Sorry for not reading the whole thread. Can anyone confirm that this apparatus fits under the stock LGT engine cover?
