  1. Very nice! I love the color combo.
  2. Also, did anyone pull the other side yet? From what I read, there is another on the other side of the engine opposite of the turbo.
  3. There is an outside chance I will make it. Ty and I are working on his car Sat. He just got it back from the dealer with the new tranny. We are gonna do my plugs, avecs side bolt, and his brake lines coilovers so we have a full say Sat. If that gets done, then I will go. There is just no direct way to get to Chillicothe from here. You guys get to follow the Scioto river which is much more exciting. I'd really like to make it to show you my headers and wide band that I installed in my cubby pod. Back OT. Yes, let's move to walkthrough.
  4. Awww... you too! Mr. Engineer! I actually put mine back in after I cleaned it. I don't have any pics as my son lost my digi cam last week, but will get a new one soon. I will take pics when I pull the avcs side. Also will be doing Tytek's this Sat (as long as his new tranny is finished) and will have his camera handy for that one. We have roughly the same miles, 60K, on the engines it will be interesting to see what we find.
  5. Thanks for the photos. I wonder if the resolution is high enough for Mccorry? I have also been switching between stock and the WalMart ST filters with no major difference in UOA.
  6. Ha ha! I got a picture for you right here buddy boy... I would love to see one from one of those blown turbos.
  7. 60K, synthetic oil since 12K. I pulled the screen out of the bolt and dried it with a towel and let it sit on some paper towel. When I held it up to the light, you could tell it was dirty, not just oily. Hit it with some wd-40 (and a little PB cause I like the smell) and wiped it down held it to light again and it was blotchy dirty so I hit it again. I also took a small dental pick and used some paper towel to clean out the inside. When I was done it was visibly clean when I held to the light. I thought about leaving it out but figured I would replace it for now. Passenger side is next.
  8. I did it tonight and have a suggestion. I used a 17mm box end wrench to get the banjo bolt started. I then switched to a shorty to get it the rest of the way. The screen was dirty but not blocked. Also, for those of you with BMW's (e36 at least), the oil drain plug copper washer is the same size. Luckily, I have plenty on hand since every filter comes with one and I have been using the fumoto valve. Thanks to Rao again for the write up.
  9. Ok, so just follow the hard line from that location to the top of the turbo? Thanks for the pics balrock.
  10. So RAO do you have any other wide angle shots of the banjo bolts I should be checking? I assumed it was the same as that TSB that Seeyaaa just posted. Thanks!
  11. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?p=18071370#post18071370 I think I might be pulling mine this weekend. Rao - what time does your garage open? I have cash.
  12. I am fighting with my PC to get ST installed...this is a bad sign...
  13. Thanks rao. I had the same question. I wanted to use my desktop when I get back from logging. The laptop keyboard drives me nuts.
