  1. The JDM lights do bolt in . they need to be disassembled and have the projectors switched because their right hand drive and they need to be rewired the lighting setup is a little different I have a set standing by from a guy that has an import business but you can find them on eBay for a couple hundred dollars I'm letting the importer do the switching work of the projectors and the rewiring it's completely doable but there's a learning curve that I'm not that excited about
  2. Been there done that rebuilt my motor completely I did rebuild one of the little knobs that come off on the coil packs with some plastic mender and you can find new coil pack plugs online relatively cheap and they work okay the whole project was a giant complicated bich I wouldn't rebuild the bottom and again I'd buy a bottom in from Subaru
  3. HI guys I completely rebuilt my 05 OBXT motor (At 139000 due to 2 turbos fragging and bypassing the oil filter with the previous owner) Any way did lots of research and filter I am using is a wix 51287 out of a Porsche 944. It is only slightly bigger in diameter but lots taller and has a 29psi bypass. the inherent problem with these motors is that because of the aluminum block the main bearing clearance opens up a great deal when the engine warms up so they often have 100 psi or more when they are cold and Will BYPASS if revved when cold.I have oil temp and oil pressure gauges.the oil can take 10 miles to warm up in he winter. 0w40 mobil 1 has worked well for me. They deffinently need 0 in the first number at any rate . Just my 2 cents.this filter is probably to tall for lowered cars works great on stock height outbacks
  4. ok happy to move it how do I locate the oil filter debate thread?
  5. I also have what I believe is the hot tip replacement for that tiny stock oil filter. it is a wixs 51287 out of a 944 Porsche. it is only slightly larger diameter but its much longer and has a 29 psi bypass. might not be suitable for your lowered car .it works beautiful on my stock height car
  6. nice ! I enjoyed the write up. I completely rebuilt my 05 OBXT limited . love the car . I think I would like to lower it an inch to maybe get the rear suspension out of the ghost walking toe out zone. it already has new kybs and some suspension bushings. any tips for some 1 in lower springs?
