  1. I do remember this video!! I actually have my 08-14 JDM STI steering wheel installed at the moment with the cruise control conversion. It looks, works and feels great compared to my old OBXT steering wheel. I still want a D-Shaped steering wheel though. I ended up buying a DAMD D-Shaped steering wheel, except a made a big mistake and did not read the listing before buying and went off the listing photo instead Totally my mistake. I ended up buying the steering wheel version that matched my 06 OBXT airbag and not the new STI airbag.... I will be selling my brand new DAMD steering wheel to recover some cost since return shipment + Customs/Duties + restock is $$$$. More worth it for me to sell it in North America, then order the correct DAMD steering wheel and take a bit of a hit. Lessons learned! Its very unusual of me to not read the listing in and out... first time for everything I will be posting some photos of my STI steering wheel as an update, and I will be posting my DAMD steering wheel for sale on the classified listings when I get the chance!
  2. The only reference I could find of someone using one of these steering wheels is here: This person seems to be really happy with it. I was hoping another Legacy/Outback owner has tried it haha! I do see what your saying about the risk in quality over the price difference. I will get my JDM STI steering wheel first, then decide which route I will go. Ill keep everyone posted as to what steering wheel I decide to buy!
  3. Hey all! I will be installing an 08-14 STI steering wheel into my 06 OBXT. I will be doing that cruise control conversion and swap over my airbag module. I am also thinking of using a D-Shaped steering wheel, but I do not want to spend upwards of $800 to $1000 CAD for a DAMD steering wheel. There is some cheaper "no name" options from Taiwan. The manufacture is "GOGOCARBON" https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Carbon-Steering-Wheel-D-Shape-For-SUBARU-WRX-STI-IMPREZA-FORESTER-2008-2014/223471376904 This will cost me a little under $600 CAD shipped. Has anyone had any experience with one of these steering wheels? Is there any other cheaper D-Shaped steering wheel options that I do no know about? It is hard to find used DAMD steering wheels. Thanks everyone!
  4. Hi All, I am lowering my outback soon, and I am slowly accumulating all the parts needed. The only thing I am missing is some legacy rear bump stops. If anyone has a pair of used or new ones laying around, I am looking to buy them! Part number: 20501AE00A I will pay shipping from the USA or within Canada. Please send me a PM if you have some bump stops!! Thanks! Mitch
  5. Hi everyone, I know this is an uncommon problem, but my OBXT was making some noise while driving. I am normally very good at troubleshooting issues, but I could not figure out what was creating this noise under acceleration. I finally gave up and brought it into my local Subaru dealership so they can spend (1) hour to diagnose the issue. At the end of it, they took one of the rear differential drain plugs off to find a tooth broke off one of the gears and was stuck to the magnetic drain plug. All that said, I will need to find a used replacement rear differential for my OBXT. I have done some searching, but have not found a concrete answer towards what other Subaru's have an interchangeable rear differential with mine. Vehicle information: Year: 2006 Model: Outback XT Transmission: 5 Speed Manual Final Drive Ratio: 4.44 Rear differential type: Viscous LSD (VLSD) Can anyone give me a concrete answer on what other Subaru's have the differential I need? Obviously another MT OBXT would work, but they are pretty rare, hence why I am asking this question. I believe some Foresters have the same F.D. ratio, but I do not think they are LSD? Would a JDM WRX STI R160 4.44 LSD rear differential work? Similar to this: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/JDM-Subaru-Impreza-WRX-STi-Turbo-R160-4-44-V-LSD-Rear-Differential-EJ20-EJ205/132096377971?hash=item1ec18ec473:g:DFYAAOSw-NFaoASB Any concrete advice would be greatly appreciated! Sorry in advance as I feel like this question may have been asked before....
  6. I noticed the same thing, will these come back in stock?
  7. I definitely want one for the OBXT I just picked up! madrig, when you going to be selling these?!?!
  8. Man your work is so nice! I am assuming that for (3) 52mm gauges? I am wondering if the faces (the lip ring) will not clear the other gauges. It is a bit tight for (3). If this works, keep us posted, it will look so sweet!!
  9. Nice build!! Love the wagons, and white in color..... Best color IMO. Excited to see what else you will be doing to the Subie!
  10. That a clean Runner! Great choice in wheels, and the roof basket! Love the single color with the limited flares! My 4Runner is more so a beater haha, body is a bit rough but a great all year round vehicle! The Subie is looking really clean! Love the BBS wheels! Bumper is fresh! I wanted to ask (since I have a silver legacy too, and was looking for horns), what kind of horns did you buy for behind the grill? I couldn't find "silver" colored horns made by HELLA or SickSpeed.... Are yours white or silver? And where did you get them? What brand? Thanks!
  11. looks so FRESH! And those 3rd gen 4Runners.... They are bullet proof!!! I own one as well with over 400K Kms Excited to see your Subie all put together!
  12. So Clean!!! What kind of front lip is that? Ebay or just the EZ Lip? It looks good! Also what did you drop it with?
