plays and charges through the iPod connector!

installed mine today. awesome indeed. pretty straightforward if you follow the instructions. I had trouble with one of the screws holding the right mounting plate (right lower in the pic with the wire and I don't think it was in the instructions). it was on insanely tight. it cammed-out no matter how hard I pushed and eventually damaged the head. I ended up dremeling a slot into it and removing it with a huge flat screwdriver.

which one is right and which one is left? they're both red.

woohoo! mine is shipped. I've had 2005 OBXT since new and FINALLY it will be iPodded.
