  1. It sucks but I understand. I hate even worse the resale value. Shop it around your local Subaru dealer. Might be some guys in the shop who'd appreciate that gem Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  2. Haha yeah you nailed it. I think it was the want of something I couldn't quite have at the time and progress towards something similar to that. The legacy interest came at a time where a guy from a niche parts manufacturer from my old Lancer platform moved on to the 4th gen legacy. I took a look at the 5th gens and fell in love. I loved everything about the look. That was my next aspiration. Yeah, no new car made my heart beat yet. Guess I have to wait [emoji23] Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  3. If it came at a killer price I'd be all over it and be willing to let the Legacy go. I think my interpretation of the future is a little different than others. I work in transportation and my industry is very forward thinking in EVs and AVs. So when I say future I'm thinking within the decade. So if I don't buy a project car in the next 5 -7 yearsish that may be it for a time. Covid hasn't impacted me much but it's got to be a killer deal for me to pick up a for fun toy. It's going to need some value. Also what FLlegacy says about uniqueness too. That was most the reason I got the legacy. I love the oddness and rarity of it.
  4. That's exactly what I'm going through right now. My first car I've kept. I never saw letting it go but It's about 20 years old now. It's got almost every mod I could put on it to make it a fun DD while the Legacy could sit. I'm trying to sell it now I'm worried I can't even give it away for a decent price. The seats and brakes alone could ask 1000 for those but the car isn't worth more than 2700 tops. Watching myself mod a 10 year old car and seeing guys bail on the platform definitely has my eyes open. But there's nothing out there I really want. There's plenty cool cars I'd drive but when it comes down to cold cash, price, and longevity, I'm not considering a gas car. Especially during Covid conditions. Drive ins are a whole new level in an ev with air-conditioning on, no bugs, and such. I'm really looking at the Legacy as this is it. If this goes, I'll probably never own another manual modifiable car. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  5. Man, I'm seeing everyone jump ship. Can't really blame em on a 10 year old car. Any of you guys looking to keep or get a final manual/modifiable car before they all become relics? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  6. Ordered the Corazon carbon fiber trunk spoiler. Just have to wait for it to come over seas. I'm still on the fence with getting it painted black or the red pearl to match the car. I like the black idea because it will match the accents and other black bits on the car like the power fold mirrors but the the carbon patch won't pop as much. If painted red it won't really accent the rear end as much but the carbon piece I'm sure will look great with the contrast. I guess I have plenty of time to think about it. 7. Oh shit, you're right. I hadn't noticed them. Anyone with lids can you answer if they just stop at the hood line or have a downward curve to go under the hood to help mold to the headlights? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  8. I'm kinda digging these! Seriously. The black and red I have going on. This would look nice I think. I've never seen a legacy with lids, so I'm not sure if this would look tacky. Some cars and designs can pull it off, then others can leave it. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  9. Sup guys. I've been plugging at these power fold side mirrors. For a little while. Restored mirror tilt functions and have the side markers working! Final thing for me to figure out is the fold. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  10. Hey falcor, could you do me a favor and measure the diameter of the turn signal bezel inside the lens? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  11. I've been wondering if I can just find these separate. Good catch! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  12. Got all the chrome pieces vinyl wrapped and a couple of other trim pieces to match done over the weekend. Have a matte bezel coming and I'm looking at a custom emblem. All came out pretty well I think. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  13. Idk what the general consensus is here about EV's and Tesla but you have to give it up. This is some really cool tech and news. Using highly compressed air for acceleration and cornering stability! I was just reading something similar a week ago about one time uses on motorcycles for safety and skid protection. https://electrek.co/2018/06/10/tesla-roadster-elon-musk-thruster-backseat/ Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  14. Man, just do the coils bro. Then the forum can troubleshoot the rest off of those results. Until then unless you have solid proof it's kinda all speculation. If you're uneasy about doing them yourself maybe try and find a local Facebook group and see if you can get some enthusiasts to help. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  15. Coil #4 is the hardest to do if I'm not mistaken. You could do it yourself but it's definitely a pain in the ass. You'll spend most of the time trying to get the pack off and out. When I changed that plug I never fully removed the pack from the engine bay just slid it out the way just enough to do the plug. Hope you have Trump hands! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
