  1. I honestly had no idea that my car (an '18 3.6R) did that! They just lock and unlock when the shifter is moved to and from park. Thats good to know! I'll have to do some more digging on the window switches, I feel like the piano black trim really classes up the interior rather than the matte black that comes standard.
  2. Has anyone ever tried retrofitting the window switches from an Outback Touring into a Legacy 3.6R (or limited 2.5i)? I am referring to the switches that have the shiny piano black trim, specifically. I found them for sale online, I just wanted to see if anyone has done this yet and if they are plug and play or not before I spend the money. After looking on the Subaru Parts Warehouse site, I found (what I believe) to be the part numbers if that helps! LF: 94263AL81A LR: 94263AL80A RL: 94263AL710 RR: 94263AL700 Thanks all for your insights!
  3. Thanks a lot! I will send you an email in a moment. I live in a high rise and I park in an underground parking garage so, startup should be fun LOL. Sounds like this system is more or less "middle of the road" in regard to sound, that's good. I would not want something super loud and (dare I say) "ricer-y" or anything like that. A nice deep tone with a bit of loud to let people know you're there is what I'm looking for - this car is super quiet right now! I definitely would not even consider the muffler delete. I live in Massachusetts and with the way cops are around here, I'd probably be ticketed immediately, never mind going deaf.
  4. Hi Doug, I also have a 3.6R and am considering the nameless exhaust with the mufflers. However, I'm concerned that it will end up being obnoxious over time. Would you happen to have a sound clip? I know comparison won't be EXACT seeing as you have headers and a different resonator, but anything helps! Just want to get an idea of sound before I drop the (non-refundable) money!
  5. Hi! I was looking online the other day and came across a piano black interior trim kit for my '18 Legacy 3.6R ( https://www.subaruonlineparts.com/sku/inttrimkitpb.html ). However, I saw the price and my eyes started watering! At almost $500, I figured perhaps using a quality vinyl wrap over the trim pieces might be a more economical option. That said, does anyone have a recommendation for a shop/individual who can wrap the interior trim pieces in piano black vinyl? I am located in Quincy, MA. Any recommendations are very much appreciated!
  6. Thanks, Grnlantern1! My biggest concern to change is the leather inserts and “wood” trim on the door panels. The trim with the silver accent looks a lot nicer and I hate the fact that Subaru put perforated on the door panels. It looks awful IMO.
  7. Hey all, just a quick kinda random question; I have a 2015 Legacy Limited which I actually really enjoy, only letdown is the interior panels look pretty dated, not worn but just out of style. I am curious to know if anyone would be able to tell me if the door panels and dash HVAC vents from a 2018-2019 Legacy would be able to be used on my 2015 model. I’d love to be able to give mine an updated look to the interior. I know some will say to just get a new one but, I have some sentimental attachment to this one! Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
  8. Thank you both! I unfortunately did not get an owners manual and wasn’t aware of that website, very helpful! Cheers to you both!
  9. Hey folks, Happy new year! Quick question. I’ve searched through the forum as well as a few other sources and I keep encountering conflicting information as to what bulb I am supposed to use in my fog lights. My vehicle is a 2015 Legacy w/o the steering responsive fog lights. Again, NO srf just standard fog lights. Anyway, I have seen a few people say that I should use H11 while others say it should be H16 or H16(type 2) the latter of which I cannot find. I come seeking advice not because I’m trying to mod the fog lights but instead to replace the bulbs that are for some reason not even there! When I got the car (used, obviously) I discovered there were no bulbs in the fog lights!? I am curious though if it is worth dropping in some LED bulbs over stock halogens. Most likely will go halogen as to not blind people, just uncertain as to which bulb to actually buy. I appreciate your guidance with this issue!
  10. Quick question: My previous vehicle ( ‘16 Camry) allowed me to still roll my windows up/down and operate the sunroof after the ignition was shut off for a few seconds. Is this something Subaru can do as well? Perhaps something that needs dealer programming? I do kind of miss it sometimes if I forget to close the moonroof or what have you. My vehicle is a 2015 legacy Limited with push button ignition. Thanks for the help, folks!
  11. My dealer recently replaced the passenger side seat bottom (seat frame issue) and with it, they put new leather on as well. This seat’s “leather” is noticeably softer than the other seats in my car. This is what sparked my curiosity at first. I’m fairly certain that my car’s seats have just neglected by the previous owner and now I’m gonna have to deal with it if none of the solutions previously mentioned work! Just me being the nit-picky person I am LOL
  12. Just wanted to reach out quick to see if anyone has any tips for softening the leather seats in my 2015 Legacy. They’re starting to feel kind of brittle (especially on the perforated part) and I would like to see if there are any tips/tricks/products that anyone has seen good results from. Thanks everyone!
  13. Thank you for the write up, Scooby Fan. You wouldn’t happen to have a link for the fog lights you bought, would you? I can only find them for the older generation Legacy. Mines a 2015 and I cannot find anything that says it fits my car. Also, will those replace the factory fogs? I have factory ones already but ones broken and they’re super useless...
  14. Scooby Fan, Thanks! I have Morimoto for my HID in my low beams - they’re fantastic. Did you just put LED bulbs into stock housings or did you upgrade to a projector housing as well? Any photos of how the light output looks?
  15. I also am having a similar issue on my 2015 Legacy limited. However, my noise happens upon braking and coming to a complete stop - almost like the suspension is settling or something is making contact when the suspension shifts. Definitely is in the front end though. Further, I also notice it when I’m backing into my driveway with the wheels turned (either direction) and moving very slowly. Perhaps also the same problem OP is experiencing?
