  1. Well, the little bit more research in the technical forums may have pointed me in the right direction. Sounds like this is a common issue for moog front hubs. Ordered a set of Timken hubs and will update once they’re swapped in.
  2. Recently replaced a majority of the front suspension on my new-to-me 06 LGT(Control arms, knuckles, hubs, ball joints, axles, tie rods) and brake pads/rotors, after re-assembly, I've got the ABS & Check Engine Light on and Cruise Control Light blinking, with 'Err 55 (SS)' on the odometer. Using the built-in code reader, shows the following codes: P0500 - Generic Speed Sensor code C0108 - Front Left wheel speed sensor C0107 - Front Right wheel speed sensor C0115 - ABS Sensor I assumed I must've been careless and cracked/ruined the speed sensors, so I went ahead and replaced them both, reset codes and went for a ~15km drive to see if they would re-learn and go away, lights still on. The only two things I can think of that could be the issue: 1. Magnetic rings on both hubs are bad (what are the chances) 2. The non-OE knuckles I used were from a later model Crosstrek/Impreza/Forester/WRX, my few measurements/comparisons side-by-side with OEM seemed to match perfectly, but maybe the spacing on the speed sensors is different, as well as a forum post I saw previously said they were interchangable. Any advice on how to troubleshoot further or next steps? I just want to drive my new project with no problems for the first time!
  3. It doesn’t smell sweet at all, smells almost like plastic, which I’ve heard synthetic oil can smell like. Also a side-note, if only smokes once actually driving and getting to temp. Sitting at idle for ~10 minutes didn’t produce any smoke
  4. Hey guys, new here and had a question. Recently did the passenger side valve cover on my brother's 06 GT, and once we were done started it up to a surprising amount of smoke coming from the passenger side. Very white smoke, definitely from burning oil. Looked under the car, no sign of oil at all, assumed it could've been from oil that came out when we took the old cover off, not expecting for that much to come out and wasn't ready for it. Now after reading through this thread (Didn't read into it before, brother assumed he knew what he was doing), and we definitely did not change the half-moon seals OR use RTV putting it back on. Looking through other replies, if this is the case, shouldn't oil be pissing out of the valve cover as-is? Or is it possible that the half-moon seals stayed in place and there is just a slow leak and/or that it is just spilled oil on the exhaust? Either way, going to be ordering the seals and re-doing the valve cover, just wondering if it's safe to drive in the mean-time since no visible oil leak on the ground? Is there a way to check if it's just oil on the exhaust burning off, other than just letting it burn and seeing if it stops?
