  1. I am building a wiring harnesses to connect my 96 Legacy to a Sony CDX-GT57UP using a Scosche harness and the harness provided with the Sony radio. I have connected all wires together as labeled but have a couple extra and want to make sure I will connect them correctly. Both orange and orange/black from the car have no equal on the Sony side. I plan to terminate these as I expect the LED backlighting doesn’t require dedicated illumination power as the incandescent backlighting probably did 23 years ago. On the Sony side of the harness, the black ground wire has a connection to bolt to the car body. Can/should I connect this instead to the black ground wire leading into the car side of the harness? (Cutting off the bolt connection to join it to the Scosche harness). Last, the blue wire from the car engages the “Power antenna/Factory amplifier” on the car side of the harness. Would connecting the Sony blue/white labeled for “REM Out” which appears can be connected to the antenna engage the power antenna? (As I am typing this, this increasingly appears to be the case but everything else has matched to the color labeled wires and these are different.) It is also labeled for 0.4 amp max. I don’t know if that would be a problem. I would guess the antenna motor receives power separately and the blue wire just acts as communication / signals the motor when to extend/retract. I think the radio is from the early 2010’s. It’s new old stock and has never been installed. Please let me know if any additional information would be beneficial. Thank you. 2. Such a beautiful car. The video kind of reminds me of Baha 1000 dash-cam footage but with less jumping.
