  1. Manual and automatic cars usually have a difference with the exhaust mounting since the support bracket is in different places. Not really a usdm/jdm thing
  2. You have to the flash ecu with a manual rom
  3. Except for 5eat cars. you HAVE to modify the trans crossmember to fit the different bolt holes in the car. Also some dont have the cutouts for the clutch master cylinder so you have to drill them out.
  4. Hayward and Scott in the uk make twin scroll stuff for jdm legacy/sti among other cars. I got one from them. shipping is a bit pricey though.
  5. ej20y comes with a td04 turbo which are in the manuals. ej20x comes with a vf38 which are used in the autos.
  6. I actually did read those pages before i posted. I suppose that i was looking for more detail, but i can work with that.
  7. I need some help making a decision between a spec b vs sti transmission. I know all the specs and whatnot but I would like real world driving experiences. My leggy is a jdm car so its going with the twinscroll 1.5 xtr. Car will be built for daily driving and fun, not really for the track. I have heard that the front diffs in the sti tend to have the car understeer during tight corners compared to the open front diff which allows the car to rotate easier. Putting specs aside, How does a spec b transmission FEEL compared to the 04sti transmission and again compared to the 06+ one. Any easier/more fun to drive?
