  1. Was supposed to get car re-tuned yesterday. For context - he dyno-tuned it about a month ago. It put out terrible numbers because of all the boost leaks, ACVS acting up, bad MAF, clogged uppipe, etc. So I fixed all those things leading up to yesterday's road tune. But he did tune it. During re-tune yesterday, the left AVCS readings were running from 0-48 intermittently, which tuner was saying what was causing the terrible hesitation and little power. He told me to remove the AVCS solenoid and clean it. Tbh, I didn't think that would make a difference at all. But he was right. At least since last night after cleaning the solenoid (hook up to battery to open/close solenoid while spaying with MAF cleaner, then coating in oil before putting back in), car is running better than it has since I bought it. Pulls pretty hard, flat 16.5lbs with the MBC. Pulling a P0103 - MAF sensor circuit high input with the new MAF. I'm hoping it clears as ECU relearns. Fb knock also occasionally hits -6 or so under low load, low rpm in 3rd gear, which I can't figure out. Now I have to fix completely torn CV boot on driver's side. I'm assuming stick with OEM, correct? And I thought I got a good deal with this car, lol.
  2. It is. I installed a GS catless uppipe a few weeks back. Getting the stock one out without raising the motor or removing the manifold heatshield was a b*&ch.
  3. Thanks guys for the help here. dwmccauley01 was gracious enough to jump on a call and walk through vacuum line routing yesterday. I saw yesterday morning the map sensor nipple wasn't attached, fixed that (coming from the bottom intake manifold. What's interesting is that I have no white filter on this line. I wonder how much that affects things. If you guys suggest, I'll find that part somewhere, splice the line and run it between the sensor and manifold. I also wonder why it was removed in the first place. That is really helpful to see the routing you normally can't see. Thank you! Getting tuned this afternoon. Car is running terrible, but I'm almost certain that all lines are run correctly for the first time in who knows how long. So my assumption is that the ECU is responding accordingly, and it needs to be tuned. Will post an update here after tune.
  4. Thanks guys. I'm still just confused with disconnecting the purge solenoid (looking at MCB installs, I think this is the way to do it. But obviously I have something entirely wrong. I don't see how you can run the 2-port MCB AND the solenoid together. If either of you would be willing, I'd Venmo/Paypal to get on a Facetime call today to get some help over the phone.
  5. Hey everyone, New owner (well, purchased a few months back) of an 05' LGT w/86k miles. It's been over a decade since I've been in the Subie community. Glad to be back! Also, located in the NW Florida area. That said, I'm having trouble getting this LGT to run right. Bought it mostly stock (intake, lowering springs). The car wasn't running smooth when I bought it, though I was pretty sure (and still am) that it was the previous owner running an intake without a tune. I've added a new Cobb DP, Grimmspeed uppipe, Grimmspeed MBC, new exhaust manifold and DP sensors, and Cobb AP3. I've now found 2 random vacuum hoses that were not connected, and I don't know where they should go. As a modding novice, I'm in over my head, and have a follow-up tune scheduled for Monday. From the video below, you can see the hoses I'm referring to, and how the car is (barely) running. Any advice would be more than appreciated!
  6. Forgive any ignorance here, but I registered last week, and still cannot post on a FS thread. Mod help would be appreciated.
