So gen 4 coilovers will fit the rear perfect and the fronts need different top hats? To fit the BH?

So if I got gen 4 coilovers for my Gen 3 they wouldn't fit?

New size is 18x9 225/40zr18

I recently put new wheels and tires on, and whenever I hit larger bumps or dips or corner too hard my stock suspension isn't stiff enough to keep it from rubbing. Yet I have a fist of Gap still. Just trying to tighten and lower it a tad. Would new springs and shocks/struts help that?

Anybody have any opinions and or advice about coilovers for a Gen 3? All I seem to find online are Gen 4&5. Thanks in advance!
