  1. At the end I found them on Aliexpress for around usd$50 (shipping included) so I'll bought those.
  2. Mi dad has a 2010 outback, and the liftgate struts are done, they can´t even hold the door in open position. But i´ve tried to find some replacement, and there is almost none (btw i´m not in the US, so i have a few options to buy). I´ve searched in Amazon, and there is none, all unavailable for the moment. Rockauto neither, they have only for the bonnet. It seems to be those struts really bad, because i´ve talked to a seller here, and he told me that it´s frecuent to some people search for those. I have a 1995 legacy station wagon with original struts, and they still work just fine. Is there some other model compatible with the outback? (besides the legacy of same years) So i can try to find an alternative.
  3. To update, it was the battery that couldn't hold charge. I charge it with another car, the car started fine, but when I tried to start it again the battery was dead again. I put a new battery and it ran fine, started without problems.
  4. I went to a store, parked the car for almost half hour, and when I put the key in ignition the brake and battery light did not turned on (like the others lights in the dashboard) and there was a new noice, like a buzz from outside the car (it wasn't loud, to someone who has never driven the car wouldn't have notice it) when I got home I turned off and on the car, still the lights won't turn on. The car ran fine before and after, I did not felt a lose in power or something. The drive was short, like 4-5 miles total.
  5. When i´m going over 60 mph at steady speed an AC on the engine has no problems, but i slow down and try to accelerate, it loses power, like it´s a misfire or low fuel (kind of when i release the cluth too early) but if i turn off the AC the car has no problem. This happens only whit the AC on and during acceleration under 60 mph, thats the weird part.
  6. It´s from the inner CV joint (diff side) it holds the CV axle from sliding out.
  7. 224k km, legacy 95 w/EJ20 engine plus auto trans and FWD. Engine is strong but you can hear the lifters from half mile, and it needs CV axle change (i have the spare parts, time i don´t have) and valve cover gaskets.
  8. Ultra noob question, but where are the vacuum lines? (at least the main ones) I´ve repaired or changed a few lines, but i don´t know where are the vacuum ones, their size or where do they connect.
  9. Also, the OE part number for US is 28021AC290 (where as i know you didn´t got the 2.0 auto FWD) but in most of european websites the OE part number is 28021AC280, for that application and even for 4wd (and i´ts more expensive) One example is here https://www.bestpartstore.co.uk/15012-skf-drive-shaft it´s for fwd and awd, but don´t know if´s for auto or manual trans. And no site has any part for 28021AC290.
  10. Hello, i have a legacy wagon 2.0 auto trans, FWD. One of the cv axle needs a change soon, the clicking sound it´s sometimes even in straight line, and here (i´m not in USA) the price for change just the cup it´s almost the same as if i bought one complete cv axle from amazon. But because i have a fwd, i don´t know it it´s the same cv axle as for the awd automatic version. I´ve looking for something like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Y5LGZC/ref=psdc_15724281_t2_B0112MT1MC but amazon doesn´t have the fwd version of the legacy, to check compatibility.
  11. After 10 years i changed the battery. If it wasn´t because now i can´t park it under roof and the mornings are cold, the baterry could still soldier on. And yesterday i "discovered" a hissing sound near under the glovebox when i turn on the ac or put air only to the windshield, maybe there´s the leak that slowly depletes the ac (i have to charge every 9 months or so) The sound is "loud" but i never before put attention to it.
  12. By using led bulbs in the brake lights don´t you need anything else? (like the special relay for the signal and flasher) I don´t know if the electrical system will have problems by using led instead of regular bulbs.
  13. Thanks, i found it in aliexpress too, it will be a lot cheaper (i´m not in the US)
  14. Hi, where did you buy the relay? was it online (ebay/amazon)? because mine failed some time ago and i had to buy some Hyundai spare, it was almost the same because here -not US- one Subaru was almost 10 time more expensive, and it works almost fine, it flash a little faster. But i want to put some led for the flashers and brake lights.
  15. Finally repaired the front driver seat, it needed filler and new tapestry (not leather, the wear ripped the left side). Also a month ago changed the brake pads. Now i need to change the front CV axles, one is going really bad (the classic "clac" sound) and here it will cost me the same to fix the cv joint, or import one axle, so i rather save some money to change the two cv axle at the same time.
