  1. Definitely +1 on the AVO reinforcements, when I crawled under to install my JDM rear bar I couldn't believe how much I could move the stock brackets just by hand... If Cobb is making bars again, I'll have to add them to the list of mods I need to convince the wife I have to have....... and it is already a long list.
  2. So I have been MIA for some time, so sorry if I missed this question while I was reading the old posts. So I finally looked at the 2010 models (I got married 11 months ago........) and saw that they have radio and cruse buttons on the steering wheel now. Does anyone know if those, more importantly the radio button set, work and fit the '05 steering wheel? The shape and size looks right, but wondered if anyone has tried it yet. I have already done this mod and love it, just thinking this might be better to have all of the buttons in one area.
  3. That last photo is crazy, very different and cool.
  4. Question for everyone. I have this installed (me likey enough to get my own Ipod so I would stop "borrowing" the GF's ) but I have a question for those who are using the headphone jack for their Ipods. For me, I have to crank the volume to 100% on my Ipod and then listen to the radio a bit higher than "normal". Is this what people are experiencing? I'm using the headphone because when on long trips my GF watches movies and likes to pipe the sound through the stereo. If using the line-out would fix the issue I guess I could always make up a patch cable (I installed a 1/8" jack in the armrest and also use the power plug for charging). and yes I tried searching and scanned the thread. and yes, I got board and gave up...... Thanks for any help!
  5. All I know is that I installed a kit for my GF's Ipod and I liked it so much I've decided I'd better get an Ipod for myself since she won't let borrow hers. Plus she wants me to try figuring out how to install a kit in her Pathfinder.......
  6. Installed the kit last year (ok, a week ago:lol:) and it went easy, very good instructions! The only part that was a little difficult was installing a jack in the armrest. I used it my entire trip to Chicago and back with on issues (~6hrs each way). The "muted" time is maybe a second when the end of the CD is reached, personally not a big deal considering no more using a FM transmitter!!!!!! One bit of advice for fellow 5eat owners. When removing the trim around the shifter, go SLOW, and don't try it if the plastic is cold. I snapped off two of the plastic retainers when I removed the trim. Some super-glue fixed it, but I was not happy.......
  7. I ordered mine last Friday and can't wait to get it. I'm hoping to get it this week so I can install it over the holiday weekend. Now I just have to go to Radio Shack and find some sort of jack to mount in the armrest.
  8. '05Limited, please do!!! Thoes are the wheels I'm thinking of getting. Not sure though how they'll look on a RBP.
  9. Weird, I have a 05 LGT and guess what! My switch is starting to get clunky. Well I'll be damned....... I guess I'll add that to my service list. sticky switch rust in the engine compartment tranny glitches gee what could be next.............
  10. My sunroof is a one click, oh yeah I had to get an aftermarket one installed since I couldn't find a wagon that had one........ And that's why I had to find the wires in the "A" pillar. Oh well, I love my suby!!!
  11. rlax, you'll enjoy the new controls. I installed mine over a year ago and can't understand why Subaru didn't do this to begin with. So far no problems and nobody at the dealerships have noticed what I have done. Which is good since I am still under warranty.
  12. Just an update, I had the brake lines installed and had the system flushed and refilled with Motul. All I have to say is BIG difference in the pedal feel! At the end of the stroke, no mushy feel. I?m definitely glad I did this. Now for a rotor and caliper swap?????. ________ LSD REHAB ADVICE
  13. Now that's a good question. I never really thought about doing that? I'm not sure if you can, it would depend on the signals through which wire. Since I know more about brain surgery than Subie wiring someone else will have to chime in. I think that might be cool to have. I don't use the left stero buttons very often. ________ Video Reviews
