  1. Back when I bought mine, the only one was the "hidden" version. Even that is pretty slick with only the receiver visible. The whole thing sits behind the bumper cover so you never see the bar. Anyway, I've been happy with mine for 7 years. If I were buying today, I'd get the Stealth version.
  2. I put an EcoHitch on my 2016 3.6r just after I bought it. They make them for the 7th gen as well. Mine is a 1-1/4" receiver type for bike racks, and the dealer had no problem with it for warranty mainly because the smaller receiver isn't for towing big trailers. These are more expensive than the typical U-Haul install, but they make three models that even include a completely hidden unit (so you can't tell it's there unless you attach the receiver - keeps your Legacy looking stock. Just another option. I installed it myself. https://torkliftcentral.com/select-ecohitch-style?vid=6826
  3. OK, I know this is an old thread, but here is my fix: I bought a radio on eBay, swapped in my memory card on the front panel and installed it. Changed the radio number on Sirius, did a refresh and Bingo. Satellite fixed. Note that there was no need to deal with any anti-theft code, it just worked after the swap. Just be careful purchasing a radio. The Harmon Kardon version of the radio has the same part number as the non-HK, but different plugs to support the extra amps. Make sure you get a picture of the back panel of anything you buy and match it to the one you have in the car before purchase. Also note that a dealer informed me that there is a recall on the 2018-2019 radios, but not on 2015-2017.
  4. Same Problem. Started about 4 weeks ago with cold weather. The reason I mention the temperature is that for the prior year or so, only in cold weather, Sirius would very occasionally come on at startup and be missing some info like the song and artist listings, or occasionally not be able to change the channel. Restarting the car always corrected the issue. All was well in warmer temps. Now I have Sirius refresh the radio which works until I shut off the car. I'm going to pull the radio (easy with many videos on YouTube) and clean connectors just to see what happens. Question: does anyone know if there is any sort of anti-theft code built into the F-Ten Units such that if I install a used replacement unit, it would not work? AKA, has anyone successfully replaced the unit with a used one?
  5. 2016 3.6r uses little to no oil between changes as the stick level is always good.
  6. This has to be the longest one-topic thread in history. I got my wife's 2005 Outback XT back from the dealer today. Symptoms were strong growl/vibration when accelerating, and constant above about 50 mph. At about 70 mph, the growl reduced when backing completely off the pedal. The drive shaft assembly was replaced today (part #27111AG16A, since it can't be repaired) and problem solved. Done.
