  1. Back to CO. I had an awesome 3 car garage with 12 foot ceilings so I made my own heavy duty shelves. http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/Random/IMG_6067.jpg http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/Random/IMG_6085.jpg http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/Random/IMG_6086.jpg Workbench: http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/Random/IMG_6088.jpg The motherload: http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/Random/IMG_6093.jpg http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/Random/IMG_6094.jpg http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/Random/IMG_6096.jpg http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/Random/IMG_6100.jpg With some extra wood laying around: http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/IMG_6146.jpg http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/IMG_6147.jpg http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/IMG_6148.jpg My favorite garage shot (green and red lights in front were for Christmas). The car in the background is a 69 Chevy Nova which I sold in anticipation of getting into school. http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/IMG_6215.jpg
  2. Not a problem at all, please do. The closest one is 4x6 and then 4x8, 4x8. The skinny one in the back was 2x8. I made the frames and then got them level and then built them down into the ground. I used cedar wood and deck screws that wouldn't rust and contaminate the soil. I added compost from a local place and never used any home depot plant food because they got it from the soil. Each box had it's own sprinkler line that I ran for 1-2 minutes 3 times a day.
  3. Thanks. This is only temporary. After grad school I/we hope to move back to CO and if I God-forbid have to stay in Fl, we're moving outta this place. But we wanted to make it appealing for when we sell it and the open floor plan is the way to go.
  4. Then I moved to Florida for graduate school and left all that behind. But the projects didn't stop This stupid 3/4 wall separated the kitchen in a bad way. This is what it looked like and since that wall was coming down, I used it as a test wall for colors http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/20131223_105127_zpsty1ij1ey.jpg http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/20131223_105158_zpszylfbdsr.jpg http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/20131223_144952_zpsmeiirg1r.jpg http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/20131224_115306_zpsjbg88irw.jpg http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/20131226_154949_zpshcrmfddn.jpg http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/20131230_134526_zpsxoddck2c.jpg
  5. My favorite part of my yard was the garden beds that I built. 6. Removed ~400 sq ft of river rock All tilled: All sodded: Once it rooted after a few months http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/2012-05-28_15-20-39_69.jpg http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/2012-07-31_07-57-40_336.jpg That sod, on both sides, was formulated specifically for the Colorado climate. I was so thrilled with how it looked. It was the first yard on the block that was green in the spring and stayed green during the hot and dry summer months. I know there are a lot of members here from CO. It was simply the best. Got it from greenvalleyturf.
  7. I love remodeling. My home in CO was brand new when we bought it. I hired for the larger jobs, but I did as much as I could by myself. The last project before I moved: Before: http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/2012-06-04_14-16-42_206.jpg During: http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/2012-06-05_17-23-21_967.jpg http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/2012-06-14_18-10-47_865.jpg http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/2012-07-12_16-12-06_322.jpg http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/2012-07-17_15-02-16_667.jpg Completed structure: http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af204/conrad283/2012-08-14_17-17-40_158.jpg Stone veneer on and flowers planted: Ripped up that old grass and extended it all the way to the back fence. It's the way the house should've come. If I was staying there, I would've removed that tree in the middle of the grass and put it somewhere else.
