  1. FWIW, I got it to fit but it was a hassle. See below picture.
  2. I think it has more to do with the AVO hose than the BPV.
  3. FWIW, the AVO intercooler hose + Kompact BPV fits like crap. I have spent hours fiddling with it and had to buy a silicon elbow hose to make it work but it isn't ideal by any means.
  4. Long time....but I ported the WG on my BNR VF54-TD05/16G. Maybe get it installed this Spring. Also, saw these on eBay -- https://www.ebay.com/itm/Stainless-VF54-Header-to-EFR-Turbo-Vband-Inlet-Adapter-fits-2010-2012-Legacy-GT/133388433201. Probably already discussed on here but couldn't find it.
  5. https://www.ebay.com/itm/JDM-2010-2014-Subaru-Legacy-BM9-BR9-Dash-Climate-Control-A-C-Heater/124226800196 FWIW, I know some of you guys were looking for one of these.
  6. No prob, man. I think the Grimmspeed 077046 or the AVO adapter are the ones you want (but I see what you are saying about the holes not slotted). I had the GS 077044 (from my 4th Gen LGT) - hence the modification. Good thinking; I wish I had thought it through this much before I attempted the job. FWIW, I didn't have an exhaust leak. I'm simply read somewhere years ago to always use some gasket maker when coupling exhaust pieces and have done so ever since. The GS IC is damn fine piece. Much nicer looking and better fitment than the AVO....but alas, despite the discount they gave me for test fitting the IC, I never pulled the trigger. If I had cash to burn, I'd love have a tuner conduct back-to-back tunes (AVO IC v. GS IC) but, frankly, I suspect the tunes/results would be very similar as the really performance improvement are likely longer performance applications.
  7. FWIW, the OBX exhaust, which is much cheaper, appears to be a "knock-off" of the AVO. I bought it (the OBX full exhaust, paid like $500 shipped) to mate up to my AVO DP years ago but haven't gotten around to it. Externally, it looks very similar (same bends, stainless steel, same size mufflers). Internally, who knows!? For example, the OBX downpipe looks identical to the AVO, even down to the bulge for the cat but, guess what, there is no cat in the OBX. lol I bet the mufflers have some horse hair or croutons stuffed inside! Lastly, glad to see folks still look at my write-up. FWIW, the Grimmspeed also sells the proper 3" to 2.5" adapter (i.e., an adapter without the donut flange).
  8. My family's next car will probably be a Tesla X. Seems like the best kiddo mover that is allegedly not a "minivan."
  9. In brief, according to this forum, overboost issues from the invidia catted DP seem rare (maybe even non-existent). Nonetheless, if overboost occurs, porting your WG would very likely take care of it. Upside is that you could get a stage 2 tune! The vast majority of the overboost issues occur in (a) non-catted downpipes or (b) nameless (the brand) downpipes.
  10. LOL. I'm not sure if you are mocking me or agreeing with me. Good point. My reaction was pretty knee jerk, and I hadn't put much thought into it. I get it from a product perspective. Likely a low volume part. Probably not worth it to set up tooling, etc. for anything less than $800 a set (two brackets, right?). At best case, these guys would sell like 10 sets. From a labor perspective, it is hard to swallow as I suspect that $800 approaches what a creative shop doing it themselves would charge to make these in the process of installing a STI trans. How long to you think it would take a competent automotive fabricator build a set from scratch? To be clear, I've blown plenty of stupid money on less important items for my 5th gen, and if I fried my trans, I'd certainly be buying these.
  11. Woof. I doubt there will be at lot of takers at that price.
  12. The part number is 72311AJ050. I think I searched the part number with the word "black" until I found one. Sometimes they are on ebay (like right now ->https://www.ebay.com/itm/72311AJ050-SUBARU-OUTBACK-2010-HEATER-AC-CONTROLS-5TH-GEN-09-09-11-1/333216120664). I think I found mine on ebay.au (the Australia-centric version of eBay). I paid about $50. Also, the Dual/Mode buttons are swapped with the Fan+/Fan- buttons (I presume for right hand drive vehicles). Frankly, I like the controls better on the RHD version but it is a minor difference.
  13. Been working on this for a while. Hate the brushed metal. Bought black controls, bought a new console piece, bought a double din insert, glued the double din insert piece into console, sanded, more plastic glue, sanded, etc. Then, I tried painting it black but it never looked right so I painstakingly wrapped it in matte black vinyl. A little surprised that the black controls weren't metric....
  14. LOL, I don't need help. Not sure if you meant to sound patronizing.... I don't have any pictures but I'll take some next time I jack the car up. SOme of the latest comments reminded me of the additional factor, i.e., the addition of an aftermarket BPV (turbosmart), is likely causing some of the fitment issues I have.
