  1. Ok. I did all the suggestions, and nothing seemed to work. I will put more gas into it in a little bit to maybe add pressure to it. But while I was looking around the engine, I noticed a mouse nest right on top of the engine. And sure enough, the stupid mouse chewed thru a wire:(:( So I will have to replace this connector. Can anyone tell me what connector this is? The 2 pictures with red markings are where the connector is at. On top of the engine, right dab in the middle. Any help is greatly appreciated:):) Thanks
  2. Thanks you guys for the replies:):) I will do the suggestions you recommended. @silverton Would I disconnect both the negative and Positive Terminals from the battery and touch them together, or would I disconnect just the negative while the positive is still attached while I touch them both together. Thanks again for the help!!:):)
  3. I have a 2019 Subaru Legacy that is our second car. It sat for a several months without being started and therefore the battery died completely. It was already a bad battery from the Battery Drain issue that we got fixed. But anyways we finally got around to driving it, tried starting (Couldn't even get into the car due to the dead battery...Had to use the physical key) of it was deader than dead. Tried putting a Battery Charger on it just to drive it a short ways and it wouldn't even charge. Got a new battery and put in, and now all the car does is crank, and doesn't start. All electronics work on it such as dash, key fobs, and everything else from what we can tell. It just cranks and doesnt turn over. I am getting a notification that the Eyesight is off or disabled and that I need to check the engine (Says to check the manual). Just right off would anyone know where I could start looking to correct this problem. Would the computer somehow need to be reset? Maybe the Key Fobs? The only thing that I think would be pertinent to this is that it had a completely dead battery for about 2 months or so. I don't think anything would have chewed on wires or anything like that:):) Any help is greatly appreciated:):) Wanna get this thing up and running before bad weather hits us:):) Thanks you guys.
  4. About 4 months ago, I took it in and they replaced the Driver seat frame according to the Service Bulletin out. So far no squeaks. It was driving me crazy so Im am happy about that. But now the passenger seat is squeaking. Happens when it is twisted left and right instead of foward and backwards for me...but anyways it happens when sit in the passenger side of the car. Would this bulletin apply to the passenger seat as well since it only lists the driver seat. This car is really starting to scare me cause I am now getting a lot of vibrations and squeak and rattling from it. And we only have 11000 miles on it and 1 year left of the warranty.
  5. So it sounds like they could never figure out what it was. That is what I am afraid of. Thats why I am trying to get as much info on it before I take it in:)
  6. @gravy Thanks Gravy for the information and Link!!! So you have found that its the actual seal of Sunroof causing the rattle. Gets cold and shrink and allows more movement between the roof and sunroof. Are we talking about the seal on the actual outside of the glass part or another seal? Thanks again for the help:)
  7. I have a 2019 Subaru Legacy Sport. Love the car. Wife and I fight over who drives it over our 2019 Toyota Camry:) Well anyways, there was a short discussion here several months ago about a rattle in the in the Moon Roof area. It "appears" like it is over the passenger door area. Some were thinking the rattle came from the accordion like material up there. But all of a sudden the discussion went dead. So instead of resurrecting an old discussion, I would like to see if there are any resolutions to this problems, or if others are experiencing it also. Happens to me at sub 20 mph on gravel areas or rougher areas. Its pretty loud though when it does happen. I am going to be taking it into be looked at the Subaru dealer, as I want everything to be fixed before the warranty expires, but I would like to have some background knowledge of what you think it could be for those of you who may be experiencing these problems. And if you have had a solution for the problem. Thanks for the help guys:)
  8. Same problem here. Remote start is very erratic. It will work about a 1/3 of the time using the Key Fob. Works about 90 percent of the time using the Remote Start Key Fob. I have literally shown Subaru tech guys videos of me standing 30 feet away from the car using the Key Fob and it going through the motions of blinking and honking and NOT starting, and its like Im talking to a wall that says "we cannot do anything about it unless we see it in person." Unbelievable!!! I think they just don't want to mess with it because they know its flawed through in through. Second time I have taken it into Subaru to be looked at and of course its "working perfectly". Its a pile of junk and will not be purchasing it again. The reason I use my Key Fob to remote start is I don't want to carry around another bulky FOB. My Camary has the remote start built in and its nice. Don't know why Subaru cannot do the same but hey if their Key Fobs don't work with Remote Start why do it. I have come to the conclusion that Subaru Remote Start is a horrible horrible investment and its a pile of junk.
  9. I have tested it numerous times now and I think I understand what was happening. I don't understand why it was happening or why it would be programmed into it but anyway... When I approach the door all the approach lights will illuminate. I figured this would sense that it recognized that I was a legitimate person opening the door. So I would reach out and open the door. But what I wasn't doing was allowing it to unlock in the correct fashion. I know it unlocks in the correct fashion when I of course here the door unlock BUT also when the lights flash. I know when the lights flash cause the side blinker built into the outside mirror will flash. When this happens I can open the door and the alarm not go off. So what I do is approach the car and put my hand INTO (where my fingers are behind the door handle between the handle and car) the door handle to unlock the door. I have yet to determine IF I can do this by touching the touch sensor (3 little raised lines on the door handle). But when I put my hand INTO the door handle the car will unlock and I am able to open without the alarm going off. So some questions I still have yet to get answered: Should I be able to open the door while the car is remote started? And If I can, why would I be able to. Even though the alarm sounds, a thief could still take what he wants and run away. I will figure this out by just plain old observation. I will approach the car without the key fob and see what I can do with the car. But then the question is raised. If the car stays locked and I CANNOT open the door why..... Would the car unlock when I approach the car with the Key Fob BUT the alarm still sound when I open the door?
  10. Thanks you guys. That is what we do too. We open the door. Get out. Lock the door from the inside door lock button and go about our business. In the morning, we use the black keyless Fob and BAM....horns waking everybody up.
  11. Well its not looking good. This morning I made sure to lock the Legacy with the keyless fob first before I used the remote start key fob. And the Alarm still went off. I will do more testing though. If anyone wants to chime in and let me know your experiences, that would be great. I called my Sales Rep at Subaru, and he said he has no idea what could be causing it and wants me to set up an Appointment with Service.
  12. I may of found out why it does this, but I have NOT tested it yet. The car may need to be locked first. I just always figured that the remote start locks the car when you remote start it. But if the car is unlocked, it may sound the alarm when the door is opened because it is unlocked. So I will test it out both locked and unlocked and see what happens. So when I remote start it with the remote Fob (the little black one) I may need to lock it first with the keyless fob (fob I use to start and unlock/lock the door...larger silver one). But when I remote start it with the keyless fob, the first button press to remote start locks the doors.
  13. I have a 2019 Subaru Legacy with factory installed remote start. When I use the key fob that came with the remote start to start the car, everytime I try to open the door with the both the regular key fob and the remote start key fob, the alarm goes off. Every single time. My wife is getting very very irritated at me:) Is there a certain procedure I have to do when I walk up the car to have this NOT happen anymore. I have the Subaru Sport with all the approach stuff, like lights in the outside mirrors etc. etc. So it recognizes I have the key fob on my body. Please help as this is getting really really bad:)
