So I have been doing some shock testing. I swapped the the Bilstein B8's for a little bit, but after a couple of weeks of using it I switched over to the Tein Endura Pro+.
OUT WITH THE OLD
IN WITH THE NEW
These shocks have been working awesome with my setup. They are 30 way adjustable, and the range in them is huge. At full Soft it will ride like a boat, but at full stiff they are coilover stiff (which is something that I am trying to stay away from since it is my daily) If I decide to take it to the track one day, I will tinker with the adjustments more towards performance.
I have it set as comfortable and controlled as I can for the street. All of the harshness I might have increased with the polyurethane bushings can be dialed out with these shocks. The are extremely plush. I have spent a few weeks adjusting the shocks settings and landed at about 10 from full stiff up front, and then about 22 from full stiff in the rear. I will continue to do testing, but from all of the OEM replacement shocks I have used in the past on other cars, these shocks have really impressed me just from the sheer range of adjustment and the ability to fine tune in small increments. Full soft is too soft, full stiff was too stiff. In its current settings I have managed to make it pair up really well with the Sift Springs.
What made me pull the trigger on these shocks is the hydraulic bumpstop technology that these supposedly have, but I haven't been able to feel it.
I might do a full Shock review in the shock section to go into a bit more details on the way the suspension feels overall.
I have also installed new front sway bar endlinks from Cusco.
Car is slowly getting better and better.
I'm sorry for not having more pictures of the items by themselves before the installs, I get so excited that I tunnel vision into installing my upgrades and then realize I didn't take any pictures...
I'm sure I will improve with time. Never really documented builds before.
