  1. I just replaced my Draw-Tite Class II 1-1/4" hitch with a Class III 2" hitch. So I have the older hitch if anyone wants it. If you want to come get it, it's yours. All the installation hardware is there, it's just used. Only used for a bike carrier. Private message me if you want it. Kris
  2. I'm finally doing this, but of course one of my hose cracked so it needs to be replaced. I could use a little help figuring out what part it is so I can get one. There are two hoses that come out of the top of the passenger side valve cover. I broke the front most one. I think it is part #99071AC010. Can anyone confirm? Also, what is the other hose anyway. Luckily I didn't break that one.
  3. I'm sorry if it seemed as if I was not bothering to read the thread. I actually did read the entire thread and did indeed see the previous post. Very detailed. I was hoping there was something in the "vacation pics" because I'm so visual and I like the backup of the illustrations and the like. If this list is what we have, then that's going to be good enough for me. Thanks guys.
  4. I'm going to have to do this and I'm deciding if I want to take the time to do it myself or not. I'm having trouble finding the removal procedure from the "vacation pics". I found the installation procedure thanks to this post on page ME(H4DOTC)-53. Is the removal buried some place in the "vacation pics"
  5. I'm currently in the middle of doing this work myself with a friend. Putting everything back together tomorrow on MLK Jr day. Anyway, a couple of tips that I'd like to impart to you guys that we found to make the procedure so much easier. 1. To get the bell housing away from the block, use a very stiff putty knife with a tapered end or a 5 in 1 tool. This works great for getting the two to split apart so you can actually get larger tool in there to really get them apart. I have 120k miles on this thing so it may have been that the mileage made those fracking pins were very siezed. 2. disconnect the turbo from the up pipe. Seems like every body just says you fiddle with it until you get past the turbo. It seems to be a very near thing. So just disconnect the turbo from the downpipe and have a buddy pull up on the turbo a bit. Comes right out. No muss no fuss.
  6. What experience, if any, do you guys have with Comp clutches? Specifically this one: http://6starspeed.com/coclst2stclk2.html I'm not heavily modded really. Perrin Downpipe, invidia up-pipe, manual boost controller upping the boost to 15 psi if I recall correctly. The other kit I was looking at was an ACT clutch from fred beans: http://www.fredbeansparts.com/act-hd-street-clutch-and-flywheel-kits.html Either the street light flywheel kit or the OEM flywheel. I don't know what the pros or cons for each would be. I just want a reliable clutch that actually will handle the moderately increased torque my setup puts out. Any advice you guys are willing to give me would be great. Thanks, Kris
