  1. Time to start chipping away. Mostly maintenance items, but there's some long-desired, fun stuff in there too. Pictured Above: - OEM Exedy clutch/FW - Whiteline Ball joints - Whiteline rear diff & diff cradle bushings - RSB reinforcement mounting brackets and bushings (black) - MOOG endlinks in all four corners - 2x DBA T3 4000 (LGT) - 2x Centric Premium blank rotors (LGT) - PMu HC+ pads for the front - Goodridge Speedbleeders - DAMD flat-bottom (red stitching) steering wheel - Prosport dead pedal - 2x Mach V 3mm wheel spacers - 2x Mach V 5mm wheel spacers - 2x Perrin 7mm wheel spacers - 2x H&R 15mm wheel spacers - HKS serpentine belts - HKS radiator cap Not Pictured Above, but ordered: - OEM caliper seal kits - OBP (32J) G2 Caliper paint - Redline goods shift boot/handbrake boot to match the wheel I'm still hunting for some PMu B Spec pads for the rear. I had to cancel an order because they were on backorder. The time for waiting for months on end has passed, and I'm looking for something now. I really don't want to settle.
  2. I promise, I have not forgotten about this. The car has been parked since the first week of January. I'm changing the oil (2600mi on it, all with the cooler) a little later today, and boxing the sample up for Blackstone during then. Unfortunately, I have not had the time or mileage to log oil temps with the cooler, the way I originally wanted to β€”let alone at all.
  3. In December, before parking my car till yesterday, I had noticed a very little bit of oil consumption. And then I came down on a misfire in cylinder 4. The day before I left it, I saw the spark plug boot was not seated all the way, and began a sigh of relief when removing it to reinstall it. That sigh of relief vanished as soon as oil came out with the boot, only to find the entire spark plug tube was filled to the top with oil. My spark plug was torqued appropriately. Right then and there, I removed my plug and inspected it. It was oil coated, but otherwise fine. I wiped it, reinstalled, and kicked this problem to the future for when I could pay more attention to it. During the last couple months I thought the spark plug tube might have had a knick in it, and it possibly wore through the spark plug tube gasket. Today, I removed the driver side valve cover in order to replace that gasket, but upon inspection I learned there is a metal collar that wouldn't have been affected my the minuscule knick that I did find. Replaced the seal and buttoned the car back up. Guess we'll see what happens.
  4. Just got back into town last night, and took delivery of a bunch of parts. Hoping to be finished with the car and prepped for driving season by beginning of June. When do you get back from AZ?
  5. '04 STis use the same 5x100 bolt pattern. It's why swapping front rotors and calipers (with an acceptable bracket) is so easy. The only difference, that I can imagine, between the STi vs LGT front dust shields would be obviously the larger diameter STi shields, and a larger opening for Brembo calipers. Don't quote me though.
  6. I appreciate that mentality, and operate very similarly. Why the 2008-2014 STi trans over an earlier one?
  7. Those parts came out great! Looks fresh, and will be well worth it over the life of the engine. Which transmission will you be putting in?
  8. Please do share, once finished. I'm personally not a fan of quad tips on our cars, but I'm always curious how the aesthetic turn out, from the owners who put the STi mufflers on. I'm open to changing my mind too
  9. @Turbomister2 your car looks beautiful! It's a great color too, though I am biased. If you haven't already take the wheel off and check the upper control arm for play. Take a picture of the suspension connections from the wheel well with that wheel off too, and post it. @jonnyt88 which STi exhaust did you install? Pics?
  10. Phenomenal find for only $800! What a good friend. Welcome to the forum! 500HP is a lot!
  11. Ecstatic to see new life brought back to this car! And even more so for the regular updates on it. Thanks for starting this thread, and welcome to the forum, formally!
  12. This was that very drive. It's when we went with Corey up to Crescent Lake bc Hurricane Ridge was closed. @ElijahHooper we have completely thread jacked this, and I am sorry for that.
  13. Someone who gets it! Btw we play like that every single weekend, and more in the summers. Specifically, on that very road. I know I've sent the invite to you too. Shoot, I was driving that road every night in November of 2023. And even had @Captain Redbeard, @boxkita, and a bunch of the cars throughout my build thread there for a few runs before taking off on vacation in December. Come out next time!
