  1. I did the pressure test, it was ok, so i think the head gaskets are ok, and there was oil inside the turbo. Any suggestions you have ?
  2. Yes, it is an JDM EJ20Y. I already did the google search, but thought that i might find the better answer here.
  3. Hi guys, My td04hla-19t has some problems where water and oil sre mixed and found out that there is oil inside my coolant, inside the turbo there are oil stains. I wanna change the turbo , can u please tell me if VF44 or VF38 are bolton substitution for the Td04hla-19t? And if yes ,Is there any advantage or disadvantage changing it with the VF?
  4. hi guys, I need the map of the 2005-6 JDM legacy, EJ20Y ecu. Can u help me find it. Many thanks
  5. The misfire is gone now the last run i did, but when the engine gets hot it goes into knock, this happens when the boost is high, and after that even at idle the coolant temperature is high and there is knock, i am also changing the spark plugs with the original type, i have another guess, since my car runs with an standalone ECU i believe there might be an issue with the map, where can i get the map diagram or spec?
  6. No smoke, no sign of mixing oil and water, 14 psi boost, the thing is that the radiator is for the non turbo car but is working ok, water pump is working ok, when i press the accelator pedal a little and the car starts to accelarate and the rpm rises at a slow rate even to near redline it is ok and there is no misfire but when the car goes into boost when i just press the accelerator pedal quickly and a bit with force it misfires at 3800 to 4200 rpm.
  7. The thing is that i don't have the kit, the country where i live there is not much subaru here, only a few and unfortunately the mechanics are not very familiar with this car, i don't have the pressure test kit nor does my mechanic, i know that when the car goes into boost after that the engine goes to knock and water temperature rises very much.
  8. HI guys, I have a 2009 subaru legacy GT, the engine was swapped with an 2006 EJ20Y JDM legacy Gt. Now my problem is that when my car is running at low rpm it is perfect, but when it goes into boost at high rpm it misfires and the engine temperature goes way up although the fans come to help, but can u help me diagnose what my problem is? I changed the spark plugs, coils have been checked. Injectors also checked and cleaned, fuel pump is ok. One of my mechanic friends says it could be the headgasket. Any suggestions? Thanks guys.
  9. Hi guys, I have an EJ20Y engine which was swapped my on legacy a year ago with an standalone ECU which i am NOT 100% satisfied with it, it runs ok but just found the original ECU (Denso 22611AK223) and bought it. Now i want to install the original ECU, i am now looking for any document(s) regarding this ECU which was installed on the 2005, 2006 JDM Subaru legacy GT. If you could tell me where i can download the file or purchase it, that would be a big help.
  10. Hi guys, thanks a lot for the suggestion, the car is working much better now and also found out that my radiator cap was not functioning well, i changed it and it's ok now. Thanks a lot.
  11. Yes, the coolant level drops, in my opinion i say it is droping from the expansion tank, but it might be from the HG, I still don't know it yet. There is absolutely no sign of damaged HG, and the answer to the second question is yes, it goes into the expansion tank and overflows. When the engine is hot it overflows from the expansion tank. I am adding coolant since the level drops. I was reading what you send here at the beginning, can u give me a post where i can do the system bleeding correctly for this engine? Let me do the bleeding once more in a correct way and i will check it again. I need the step by step procedure to do the bleeding correctly. Many thanks.
  12. This is one of the questions i have, the other question is why does the level of water or coolant is droping when there is no external leak, no sign of sweet smell, no sign of water mixed in the oil, no milky coolant in the radiator, no bubbles, engine starts perfect it runs perfectly, no white smoke, i have a doubt that it might be the HG. And yes i am wondering why the coolant is spitting out when under boost, the spit is pretty strong about 50-60 cm. You see when the car is either cold or warm, when the engine goes to high RPM, if the cap is off it spits out the coolant but when the cap is on the coolant goes to expansion tank and it gets overfilled and the coolant out of expansion tank does not return to the radiator
  13. Yes, i have got the air out and bleed the system, there is no sweet smell, the amount of water drops in a short amount of time. Is it common and normal for the coolant to spit out when the radiator cap is off when the boost is high?
  14. Hello guys; I have a 2008 subaru legacy which had a EJ204 engine on it, i swapped the engine, transmission and differential of a JDM EJ20Y engine with it, my car once got overheated although the temperature gauge did not reach the redline but almost most of the coolant was gone because of a lose hose. Now i have a problem which is the level of coolant gets lower without a leak, the car starts perfectly, no abnormal vibration or sound, no white smoke, no milky water in the radiator and there is no indication of water in engine oil, no bubbles in the radiator, yet when the turbo is in high boost when the radiator cap is off it spits almost 50 cm of coolant. ONLY when the turbo boost is high, what do you think guys? You think the Head gasket has blown? Or you think there is a leak in the cooling circuit? Does anyone have the diagram of EJ20Y cooling system?
