Who will make a big HP jump...??

Recommended Posts

Well I for one currently drive a 98 Honda Accord EX. Its has about 150 HP at the crank but feels like less and it weighs a ton. If i step up to a Legacy turbo ill have an extra 100 HP and AWD....I hope i can control myself the first day I take delivery..... :D

lol. . . I went from a blistering 130 HP Civic. . . . to my 300 HP STi. So I guess I already made a big jump, but I'll be "jumping back" a bit when I get a Legacy GT. I'll still be keeping the STi though. :)

Got a ~170chp Legacy GT right now. More than plenty to get me into plenty of trouble. If I go to a LegGT turbo, will be nice, but I've driven FXTs, WRXs, and a couple STi's, so no big deal there. :) Will just be a bit different to have it actually mine. :) We'll see how long it stays stock. ;)

Actually, it will go up by infiniti since I am currently without a car living in the city here. I'm having to use taxis ($1-1.50 to just about anywhere in the city), but I'll be moving again within the coming months. Before that, I had 100hp in 1780lbs. Peugeot 106 rallye.
FINALLY I get to see the ol car. That baby is stylin Preston! Should have brought it back so I could RallyX/Ice race it. Nice and light. :D
Yep. I thought that one of the Peugeot rally team drivers was going to buy the car off of me. It is reinforced and even has roll cage mounting points in it. It didn't have a lot of acceleration, but a big lobbing cam made is sound reall tuff, and the short close ratio 5 was sweet. Amazing balance for a fwd car. It's weird to do a 4wheel drift around a corner in something so small and fwd. I guess I should make a thread for it.

In the UK my wife had 1100cc Peugeot 106 ( i hated driving it) with about 60bhp, I had a Yamaha YZF750R with 125bhp. When we came back to NZ I got a diamante with about 200bhp, and hope to get to 288 with the RSK, and more if much tuning allows, though I was told by my dealer that it ain't too wise to do too much, as it can make the engine run hotter than it already does. So looks like I will definetly get a K and N filter, shouldn't be too stressful, and a powerchip if my dealer reckons it ain't gonna stress out too much, but I hope 300bhp would be attainable, mainly just to tell mates in the UK, they would be gob smacked, even a friends Audi TT has less.

It's a big jump for me too. From about 110 chp in my '97 Civic HX coupe to the 250 in the GT. I'd better be careful at first! Just don't remind me about the mpg hit I'll be takin'  Guess I'll just be helping the human race to give up it's dependence on oil.....by burning it faster!  -Ian

I usually get like 18mpg in my GT, mostly 45-55mph driving in 5th gear. Yeah, I need a new one, this one is sorta sick. It's not even comparable in smoothness to my mom's '00 RS Sedan/5MT as I can tell mine has really taken a nosedive in the last year.

Yeah, looks like I'll be getting about 15 more horsies with the GT, but it's the torque that'll make the difference.
