GBY
Best of luck on the rear wiper. lol. I expect it to: Handle at least as well as the stock WRX. Be quieter (a given I guess) Be faster (think weight v hp) Have people selling their generic Japanesse cars to buy one (not sure if I really want this)
AMT4SWA
Factory body kit option(s). Bluetooth like the new TL XM radio as an option at least HID's At least one color option for the exterior that is a metalic gray STI version one day! 8)
Tide
The only thing really missing is a 6-speed. Beyond that: HID XM integrated option

Tide
They are saving that for the STI version! :D
We could hope, but that puts me in the eternal quandry. Buy a Legacy this year cause Ive been drooling forever, or wait to see if and when they release a more potent STi version. It took what? 24 months for WRX to get a big brother STi in the US? So I'd be waiting 30 months from now :(
GBY
I'd Buy the GT model now and wait for the STi then trade up. An STi model will only be introduced to the US market once the 05 Legacy has proved successful and it takes time to get all the Federal approvals when the decision is made.. That's my take on it anyway.

AMT4SWA
I will not wait for the STI, and I will buy in June (if already available) because I will buy the 5 spd AT "Sportshift" (wife does not drive a 5 spd...sad but true). I need to replace my IS 300 this summer so I will be in the market and ready (was going to buy the S60 R until I found out about the Legacy...always loved the Subaru WRC cars). This car is a complete package for an amazing price IMO (even at say $32,000 loaded), and I just do not see anything that can touch this performance for this size of car at the estimated price level. Tide
Yeah, I was looking at a loaded G35 AWD and it was coming out to 40k for it with everything I wanted! You should be able to get the same from Subaru for 32-34k.
AMT4SWA
I hope Subaru has a Carbon Fiber factory dash kit when the GT comes out...I do not like the silver painted plastic look for the center stack area (radio and A/C control area). The G35 and the new Mazda 6 has this, and it looks to cheap...also everyone has paint scratch problems within the first couple of months with these cars center stack area. The new Volvo S40 uses an aluminum metal cover plate for their new S40 center stack...now that looks good and is more durable. It would look best IMO if Subaru leaves the center stack area as black as possible...like the great picture of the new GT cockpit in the other thread...SWEEEEEET! :D Also, I hope Subaru brings the rear decklid spoiler from the "Liberty" (Legacy) website for the Australian/New Zealand market. This two piece spoiler with a decklid piece and the upper wing section attached has a great look to it...all business!
sti_owner
6 speed seems to be the biggest thing lacking, but a tall 5th gear should be fine. I can wait for the STi version myself, as Im already set with one. ;) hi to you!

PPower
can we go to what we want? Memory seats with the power seat option. On the power seats, I would like to see adjustable side bolsters like the M3 has. That would help alleviate my concerns about the US seats being too wide for me. McIntosh stereo as a stand alone option that doesn't require other options to be chosen to get it. Just like how the Nakamichi stereo is available in BMW. It stinks that in the past you could only get McIntosh in the very top Outback models. It looks like fighting for a smaller front bumper at least is going to be a losing battle, so I'll let it go. goneskiian
I'd like to be able to get the McIntosh as well. HID's would be cool too but not a deal breaker. Memory on the power seats would be fabulous, but again not a deal breaker. Then again I don't want memory seats, that would make it too easy to let my wife drive. ;) I really doubt we'll see it come XM compatible. If it does, then I hope they throw in an input jack as well for those with iPods or the like. -Ian
SUBE555
Hmm, guess I'd really like a quality stereo w/ 6-disc under the seat (call me old skool, like less in the dash) w/ MP3 capability, MP3 player hookups would be sweet! I'd also like HIDs as optional, and NO powr seats for me, but some nicely bolstered seats would do me well. Can we get those STi springs too? :D That would probably be enough. Oh yeah, hope the turbo type is of VF style and shape, otherwise upgrades down the road (you know it will happen) may be more complicated with changing placements. Oh well, its a wish list ain't it! Oh crap, things to expect. Oh well, can wish too eh! :)

SUBE555
Wish the single-touch window down was for driver or all windows. A very strong 5MT built on principles of STi 6MT. (As long as gear ratios are perfect and enough torque, why paddle less, besides in same space, you can get more gear, therefore stronger. :P) Wish the tire-pressure sensor measured the actual pressures and compensated for temp to within 1/2 pound. :P I definitely second the security deal. I was going to get the factory security system in my next one, but I'm contemplating just getting an aftermarket unit.

The 2.5 for the USDM or Twin Scroll JDM should solve that.
Dr. Zevil
Don't think the USDM is getting the twin-scroll turbo. With the 2.5 engine there is no need since torque comes on so quickly.
AMT4SWA
I think you are right, we are getting "single scroll" to have the same commonalty of parts as other new U.S. based H4 2.5L Turbo's. I'm sure we will love the power delivery when we all get to do a test drive for the first time... I am actually very glad that Subaru built up the U.S. WRX STI off the H4 2.5L motor (the extra displacement never hurts!). Now Subaru has a great powerplant package that they are able to place in several cars with great success.
