EJ20H-TT
Power rises from 115kw to 121kw or 5% 0-62 Old 10.2 secs New 8.33 secs 50-75 Old 8.0 sec New 6.03 sec Pretty good figures for the 2.5 Flat four
SUBE555
Part due to the fact of decreased weight, sleeker profile, perhaps different gearing, and likely a bit better power curve if the peak #'s stayed the same. BTW, might want to change the post name to 'New Performance #'s' or something to not be misleading. ;)

3.75L H6
Any word on AVCS or AVLS for the 2.5 NA? In theory we shoud see ~210hp and ~170+tq. You'd think it'd be worth it ... hmm ...
SUBE555
We've talked about this before 375. ;) No AVCS with the SOHC heads or it would change the timing on both intake and exhaust, potentially not a good thing, and we are not very likely to see AVLS either. Not sure where you are pulling those power figures from either.
3.75L H6
ought to put the GT engine in all Leggy's then, minus the turbo, since it has the AVCS. If you gave it AVLS also, making around 85 hp/liter like it has in the 3.0, then you'll get around 210+hp NA. meh I don't know.
SUBE555
It's not as nearly simple as you think. There are a LOT of different factors to consider, not just a couple of key technologies. You'd have to be running on the extreme edge of OEM tuning for NA which just isn't feasible for Subaru in this market when turbo motors can do the job more cost effectively. Japan has a high-output 2.0L naturally aspirated engine, but that is what that market desires. Over here, they just wouldn't sell that well, other than to a core group of cult enthusiasts, like the old GC/GM/GF guys/gals. Not enough to justlfy producng such an engine at this point and time is my take. I wouldn't mind, especially for the Impreza line, an engine setup to serve as an alternative to the ITR/RSX/TSX engine series and the QR25 in the Nissan SE-R, and with a sizeable amount of torque if tuned to the very edge of manufacturer limits. Would be one fun and tossable package if designed slightly more agressive than the old machines, but as I said, the market for that is really questionable considering Subaru has the WRX. If they were to drop that in favor of a base TS, a high-output 2.5 and one or two 2.5L turbo tunes, MAYBE to garner a lower price-point if it's possible. Just too many unknowns for Subaru to try at this point IMO.
RSPDiver
Racing class competion would play a big factor in this, I assume, like Porsche's GT3. Hmmm, and all motor 250/250 WRX. With potential for more, naturally (and naturally), of course.
SUBE555
Well, that would REALLY be tipping ths scales, but with enough money, anything is possible. :)
