Doesn't come with grease?

These work great! Make sure you give them a helping a grease when installing, it will make your shifters smooth and firm!

Pros:

Marked reduction in height and throw of shifter. Improved feel, directness.

Cons:

I'm happy, no complaints

I had read some comments regarding general increases in NVH potentially from the shifter hitting or rubbing the metal surround and was somewhat hesitant about the purchase and install but haven't experienced any of the above issues.
The install of the shifter and front bushing was straight forward thanks to MUD's how-to post (note: I did not end up having to reverse the metal shroud at the shifter base). The rear bushing did require some effort. Not a complex operation but does require some effort/minor contortion for the shade tree mechanic.
I installed the Subaru Momo shift knob at the same time and am very happy with the improved appearance combined with the more precise action from the shifter/bushing install.

NVH , hard to shift and tranny hum
I made it very hard to shift and find gears. I had it in for two days and had to take it out(use dishsoap to get the stock back in not oil). The shifter would vibrate like mad and you would have to fight to get the car in to gear. I had add the bushing when I added the kartboy STS. I read other post about the bushing would wear in. Poly bushings don't wear in only thing that wears in is your trannys soft parts. It not worth it for a $35 part to kill your tranny. With the bushing gone it was still tighter then stock with better feel. If you add it and get none of the problems that I state then you should be ok. Every car is not exactly the same and maybe something in mine did not line up. But many others have had the same problem.

I enjoyed my KB front shifter bushing and SS on my 98 LGT, so it was a no-brainer to do this and add the rear bush on my 07 B.

Nice, short thows. Only took me 15min to install the STS
Cons:
none on the product, just my stock bushing
I only istalled the front bushing because my stock bushing was made of tungston...It was as hard as the new bushing. But once I got it out and the new bushing installed, totally worth it. Made the feel of shifting "soild". Feels great. No noise or vibration. Great product.
